Works well
I've used this to control the extraction fan in our ensuite bathroom, which has no window and has suffered from mould due to humidity (Fan with timer delay is pointless). Took a couple of weeks to get the high/low humidity thresholds set, but it works a treat. It would be nice if there was an option for a white sensor, that's my only negative.

Modern Solution
We had a heating control issue that seemed to baffle our plumber. Our 'uncontrolled' sold fuel heat source is connected to a thermal store. It had been set up so that when the store reached it's high limit temperature, a mechanical stat would turn on the heating pump & diffuse excess heat through the radiators. However, mechanical high-limit stats turn 'off' when the temperature is reached.Reading reviews of this product, we doubted very much that it would solve the issue. However, we are proved wrong & are more than satisfied. The new firmware version 3.50 (June 2021) not only allows the switch to automatically turn on/off at your setting but allows an on/off override. Controlled via the eWeLink app, it also connects to Alexa & Google WITHOUT any flashing of firmware. 'Alexa, heat pump on' ...is now an easy option...The only issues, so far, are the previously noted 3.5mm jack port for sensor attachments. If not fitted properly, the loose jack will short out the wifi connection. Rather than drilling out the port ...I found a firm push snapped the jack into place. This may be deliberate & not a design fault ...as there is no likelihood of the sensor falling out!As a new installation, only time will tell if this control suitable for long term use. At the price, I felt it was a good value solution to the problem.

Does what it says on the tin
Bought this as a trial really to see if I could use these devices as part of a larger house revamp. The article arrives well packaged with the Temp sensor in a separate box. The instructions are easy to follow and the switch paired easily with the downloadable app. I have also added the skill to Alexa and this seems to work well. My only gripe about the skill for Alexa is that the temperature and humidity data is not accessible through Alexa. This would be really useful (hint to App developer) for my home automation plans. The only gripe I had when installing the switch was that the press down terminals were damned flimsy and also very fiddly to use.

Works just great ,for 6hrs stopped working
Edit,,,,,stopped working after 6 hours ,,,returned back to AmazonUpdate purchased another Sonoff TH 16 this one been working for 3 weeks, cheaper than buying the manufactures extractor fan humidity module by £100Works just great ,had no issues with it when you insert the temperature probe and turns off the Wi-Fi ,I did pair it first using latest app "eWeLink Smart Home Fan" plus upgraded the firmware using the app before connecting the AM2301 Temperature and Humidity Sensor,,placed the sensor in the corner of bathroom ceiling with the TH16 in loft space wired to a extractor Fan and heated mirror now when you shower,, humidity rises ... on goes the fanOnly works with Amazon Echo in manual mode not Auto

Wish I'd had this year's ago
Bought this to replace the current oil boiler control and save a trip into the cupboard everytime I wanted to switch it on for an hour. I have used a variety of Sonoff switches that are all Alexa enabled. As this switch does not use a 3 pin plug and requires direct electrical connections, I would suggest you use a qualified electrician to wire it.It was however an easy cabling job, having disabled the power to the boiler circuit. In conjunction with the ewelink app, I was able to configure several timers to turn the boiler on and off. The big plus for me is in being able to ask Alexa, or use my mobile phone,to turn the heating on and off.An additional feature of this switch is to use the supplied thermostat / humidity sensor. I haven't done that yet as I need to run a sensor extension cable into my Hall.

Good device at great price
I was looking for a device to monitor the water temperature in my hot water cylinder. All works well and gives me notification when water temp reaches max and the min I’d set but the app leaves a bit to be desired. It only tells you the temperature now, there are no historical data or graphs. I think if this was included in the app I’d give it 5 *

Not safe
I tried it out but sent it back same day. It fails as a WiFi thermometer because the sensor doesn't plug in properly unless (according to other reviews) you make the hole in the case bigger. It fails as a power switch because the terminals aren't solid enough for the rated power, so you risk a fire. The cord grip doesn't fit the wire either making it an electric shock hazard too. Finally it can switch based on time and on temperature but not both together. If it had this basic functionality I would probably have kept it by throwing away the substandard case and mounting the circuit board and an external power relay in an electrically safe 3rd party case. It's also quite hard to connect to WiFi as the quick connect method didn't work. Fortunately the other method worked.
