Fun family game!
This is a several games in one. One is pretty simple that even my 6 yr old grandson can play, as well as a more adult skill one. Our family has enjoyed this game because it is fun but can be played a more than one level.

Fun game
My girlfriend and I are retired and love board games. Port Royal plays fast and is fun. Both of us win games, no one sided domination. I like the graphics and best of all it’s easy to learn.

Great Fun, but still Challenging, Several playing levels
Love the Game and Love the Artwork! Disappointed with the moveable pieces (square blocks) Didnt fit the theme of the game! Could have used "Oak Barrels" or "Ships" or Pirate tokens, something that goes with the theme of the game!

Easy and fun with extra dimensions like an obese cat
Easy to learn and the expansions add additional playability. The pirates could be more menacing and the female passengers more wenchly but the art is nicely executed. Good concept but if you are expecting Captain Morgan's debonair exploits, you will want to buckle your swashes with another historically accurate game.

Great Game, Great Value!
One of our favorite games. Most often played as 2-player. The Contracts extension is good only for the additional cards...we didn't like using the actual contracts, they don't seem useful. (this is an option mentioned in the rulebook.) Haven't played the included Adventure Begins variation, but looking forward to it.

I love this game!
I'm not that great at strategy games but this one is not difficult. Great fun. I bought more for friends and family.
