Sauce Goddess - Super Chunk Steakhouse Spice Shaker - Steak Seasoning, BBQ Rub for Chops, Chicken & Veggies, Gluten-Free, Vegan, No Sugar - 6.15 oz

I started eating meat again after being vegan for many years. I wanted to make the transition easier so I used this in a marinade for our steaks and it is absolutely wonderful. Also, used it in meat loaf and it adds a little bit of extra pizzazz. Just an all around great seasoning.

Tastes good on everything. I'm vegan, so I've not tried it on meat. I like the flavor it gives to veggies.

Your appreciation of this spice bottle will depend on how much you like your herbs and spices to be a little chunky or fully ground. I personally like to see a little shape and form with my spices and I really love dashing some onto meat and seeing the bits caramelize onto the surface. So I am pretty happy with the shaker.There is nothing too exotic in here, to be clear. Its mostly onion and garlic, which is great because those are really a good addition to just about anything. You will also definitely notice the black pepper and maybe the thyme if you close your eyes but this is not something like Spike, which just blasts you in the mouth with all the flavors. I like it for that, though, since sometimes you want to taste what you are putting the seasoning on rather than just the seasoning.The price is pretty good. Some spice rubs and shakers can get a little obscene while others can be priced so low you almost need to fear the providence. 6 oz is a good amount per the price to my mind.As long as you are looking for a a spice mix that is leaning towards strong garlic and onion you could do much worse.

This is a good steak rub, with mostly salt and garlic, but also a few other spices. It is not a fine powder, with relatively large chunks of spice. I found it's best to add it to the steaks at room temp about 30 minutes before grilling. Most of the large chunks will fall off or burn off, but the 30 minutes gives some time for some of the fat and water soluble flavors to season the meat.

I had an opportunity to meet the Sauce Goddess owner at a recent event and I just love her seasonings! I'm so happy to see these available on Amazon. The Steakhouse one is a really versatile, crowd pleasing seasoning with pepper, garlic, onion, and other spices. I do like that while it has some salt, it's not a salt bomb like many are. I love using this on burgers, baked "fries," roasted broccoli...you name it.Great quality product and I definitely recommend her other seasonings!

My husband used this rub on some steaks the other day and they were delicious. It has more of a woodsy taste that was yummy and it just made the streak have a yummy fresh flavor that went with a medium streak perfectly. Very happy that I gave this and I cant wait to try it with more things down the road.
