Cat loves it. See video for helpful info!
The media could not be loaded. This catio is really cool! You can DIY and configure it in any shape you want, but I did run into an issue when doing this: The black corner holders can only hold 4 at a time. What that means is that when I made angles on the inside, some of the corners just had to sit on top and I had to zip tie them, so it was less stable (see video). The box was very heavy because it's made of metal, which is very sturdy. However, you won't have an issue with this if you're just building a basic rectangular or square shape. It came with two mallet hammer tools which worked perfectly to get all the corners in tight. The instructions were in there but buried under everything so look carefully. It also came with three bags of small zip ties which was more than enough to zip tie all the corners, all the middles, and more.I bent the bottoms to fit my counter height and I installed a cat door in my window.

My cat loves it.
I've wanted a catio for my cat for a long time, but they're so expensive. There was a lightening deal on this one, plus a coupon, and I got it for $107. I was pretty overwhelmed when I opened the box, which was full of a million parts. The instructions were not great, but I found a helpful video on YouTube of someone assembling one, and it's actually quite easy.I assembled this outside a window, then cut a piece of plywood to fit in the window. We installed a regular cat door in the piece of wood. I plan to paint it to make it look nicer, and put weather stripping around it. It just sits in the window, so it would be easy to remove. The structure is more solid than you'd think, but I do recommend using the included zip ties. I wish they were black to blend in. The white zip ties stand out, not in a good way. The included platforms hold my 13 pound cat easily. I wish we could buy more of those, because there's a good bit of wasted vertical space. We installed 5 doors on top of each other for one long door people can use. But the included clips to hold it closed are a pain to use. I zip tied the door panels together to open as one door but we don't use it much. This is my review. My cat, Jingle, would like to say that she gives it 5 stars. She's in heaven.

Awesome, easy to assemble catio, but missing pieces
I am super impressed with this. Even though it did not seem to come with directions, it was intuitive to put together and very easy. To put together a door, you use the empty wire frame along with the little door attachment. I also like how flexible the pieces were – as you can see from the pictures I was able to do something a little bit different with it that fit my porch better. One tip – buy some black zip ties. They are like six dollars for several hundred of them on Amazon. They look way better than the white zip ties that come with the product. This is very sturdy, especially with the zip ties on it. The only problem is that the item came in a box that was falling apart and after I put together I found out it was missing pieces. I think this is likely mostly the result of negligent delivery, but also it could have been packaged better so everything was not loose inside. I tried to put it together as shown in the picture, realized I was missing some pieces, and then rearranged the design as shown. It's a great product despite missing some pieces, and really I blame Amazon for not offering a viable solution to the missing pieces as the problem was mostly poor delivery.

Cheap but totally worth it
The media could not be loaded. So there are a lot of mixed reviews about this product. I took it in faith that the good reviews were adequate and I was looking for an affordable option that wasn't permanent. I have 2 very large Maine Coon cats so I also needed something sturdy. You can see from my photos that I started the build inside and then moved it outside, where the cats are enjoying the fruits of my labor. It took about 3-4 hours to do this alone but most of it is the zip ties. The instructions are like Ikea instructions- all photos and very little details. They just give you the gist of how to put this together. It literally says to see the box photo for assembly reference. That being said, they were adequate for figuring out how the pieces fit and then you are on your own. The shape is able to accommodate what they specify on the box, or you can free-form. There is not a secret to building this, I just used the basic instructions and then did my own thing. I had some parts left over and can put in more shelves later. They give you plenty of zip ties. I would certainly say they are a must for stability but absolutely nothing came apart when I all but drug the first two tiers out of my house onto the patio. The shelves are holding up 2 15-20 lb cats without any sign of issues. You will need to be creative to put this together and be open for some trial and error. If you were the kid in school that couldn't stand free option art or writing instructions, this is not the catio for you. You may want to con an artistic friend into helping you figure this out. As a creative mind, I enjoyed the build8ng because it is my own design and I feel confident that it will hold up to my needs. It is from China. The paint flakes off easily. It will probably rust. It was also about $300 cheaper than the more expensive wood one I bought first but elected to hold off on using yet because I may be moving in 6 months. You kinda get what you paid for but i have no issues with what I purchased and it will suit my needs for the next 6 months or so and may even survive a move to be used again elsewhere (with new zip ties of course).

Nothing special
The instructions were easy to read and set up was a little harder with one person. It rusts easy outside, especially the white frames.

Amazing opportunity to keep cats safe
The media could not be loaded. It took about 3 hours to make. Got into a good groove. Cats love this as an option to have their own space ans be outdoors. Adding toys with zip ties to the structure. No complaints. Worth every dollar spent for them. They had anxiety and were fighting inside my small house and they love being outside but I need them safe and home! Excellent choice. Zip tie it all along the way helps and then retightrn before cutting to make it look nice! Making a welcome to the catio sign yay!
