Top quality toy with lots of educational features
My 14-month-old granddaughter is delighted with her new pet puppy, which is a great size and has a lovely, cute face. It did, however, take some time to remove the cable ties to separate the puppy from the packaging and my granddaughter was getting very impatient waiting for me to get it out! This interactive toy comes with a selection of accessories including a walking lead, a water bottle, a bone, a storage pouch, a name tag, some stickers and an adoption certificate. There are even 2 x AA batteries already installed. The puppy is recommended for children from 18 months and although my granddaughter is not really old enough yet to benefit from some of the educational aspects of this puppy, she is gaining experience of using her motor skills to press the buttons and it is great watching her trying to feed the puppy with the bone and pat the puppy’s head to hear the interactive phrases. My granddaughter has only just learnt to walk so doesn’t quite have the balance and coordination skills required to walk the puppy on its lead, but she likes to push the puppy forward and backwards to hear the music. Some of the songs and phrases sound nice and clear but there are also some that are a little indistinct and difficult to understand. This is a large hard plastic toy which looks and feels very well made. I think that it is great as an educational toy because there are so many features including numbers, colours and interactive play. This is definitely one of my granddaughters favourite toys at the moment and it goes everywhere with her, just like a real puppy!I think this toy is definitely helping my granddaughter to develop her hand and eye coordination and she will be able to use more of the puppy’s features as she gains confidence with her walking.I have always found Vtech toys to be top quality and this interactive puppy doesn’t disappoint. I feel that the current price of £32.99 is fair and I am happy to recommend.

Incredible toy for a child under about 4 years old.
Young children are going to love this little dog who lights up, plays music, responds to touch, walks and even speaks. The first thing to note is that this is a hard plastic toy. Despite this, it's very durable and even with our niece having dropped it multiple times, it works as good as new.The idea is to teach young people about caring for an animal/pet as well as thoroughly entertain them! The dog comes with a number of accessories such as a bone, water bowl, food bowl and lead. The food items can be used against the dog's little mouth, but the lead actually connects to the dog and allows the child to wheel it, which will have the dog's feet moving playfully. The dog will come out with things such as 'can we go for a walk?' or 'I am so thirsty!', so your child will be able to learn how to attend to its needs. What's quite fun is that you get a little belt with a bag on to place all the items inside, so your child can wear this and feel like a real dogwalker. There is also a learning mode that will teach your child facts and trivia relating to not only puppies, but numbers and colours as well. And there's buttons on the dog's side that you can press to activate various interactions.Overall, this is a very high quality and fun toy that our niece has been absolutely adoring!

Doesn’t do a lot
I thought this thing would walk and behave like a little robot dog. Instead it’s got the same annoying voice as all the other toys from this brand and just says stupid phrases and a couple of songs and doesn’t move at all unless you push it which is hard to do. Really disappointed
