Great Laptop Terrible Screen
This laptop is nice! It's sleek, clean, runs fast, and was able to play Valorant and Minecraft just fine. However none of this matters because the display is just the worst. It's 60hz, I'm used to 144+, I thought it wouldn't be a big deal as I play games on the Nintendo switch so this shouldn't be that bad. Oh but it is, it's smudgy, there's constant screen tear in games that is only dampened by v-sync. Now let me remind you this is not advertised as a gaming laptop by any means, but in reviews it has been dubbed the work laptop that can game. Even outside of gaming the display doesn't go well with simply scrolling down a page. The laptop IS fast but this again doesn't matter because the display makes it feel not as responsive as it is.When I connected it to a TV the problems I saw on the display were not translating to the TV so this is very much just a panel issue. If you plan on using an external screen, well have at it I suppose.I've installed Nvidia and updated drivers this hardly made a difference. The possibility that it is stuck using integrated graphics over the dedicated card is also there but I gave up on it before I went down that hole.Currently I am in the return process.
