Great bit of kit
i can't speak to the accuracy of the readings because I have nothing to compare it to. But the meats I've cooked on the Weber (both on direct—roasting a spatchcocked chicken—and indirect—slow cooked pork butt) have turned out perfectly, so I've got no reason to suspect inaccuracies. The screen is big and easy to read. The controls are simple and the remote unit is perfect for keeping an eye on the temperature without having to go outside every time. The range on the remote unit is very good. I could get all the way to the front garden without losing signal. Worth noting that the remote unit is just a receiver. I.E. you can't control anything (like alarms or settings) from the remote unit. It simply receives the sensor data from the main unit. Not a problem though, because you'll typically be setting everything up once at the beginning. The alarm feature, which sets off an alarm if the sensor goes above or below a temperature defined by you is also great in case you get distracted and forget to keep an eye on things.I've only used it twice since buying but I highly recommend.

Great display, no gimmicks
Very pleased. I looked around at lots of similar items but I didn’t want bluetooth as, let’s face it, it isn’t very reliable and who really wants to be messing with their phone when they’re doing a BBQ? The wifi alternatives didn’t come across very well either, so I decided to keep it old school and go with the Smoke. It works very well. The display is big and I can see my current temp, max, min and alarm set points for both probes on one display - no fiddling around with modes or navigating screens. The probes are good, and replacements are easy to get, so I got a couple of spares in case they get discontinued. To be honest I don’t find the wireless range through buildings good at all, but that’s fine. If I was really bothered about that I could get the wifi adapter thing for it, although having looked I’ve been unable to find it for sale in the UK.I have to say though, I’ve been cooking BBQs for 30+ years and switching to an instant read digital thermometer to tell me when my meat is cooked has transformed my cooking. It’s been the best “upgrade” ever for my BBQ.

Very simple to use
Very simple to use. Slightly disappointing that the maxi temperature for the probe is 300 degrees c as the komado is quire capable of reaching higher temperatures.

Fantastic bit of kit
I recently smoked a five rib Prime Rib of beef roast in my out door smoker for 12 hours. This gadget proved it's worth with giving me the most accurate temp readings I've even gotten out of the smoker so that I could have perfect timing on the beef. After 12 hours in the smoke, and a quick 15 minute sear at the end, that big hunk of beautiful rib roast came out an amazing medium rare through the entire roast.
