The Readylatch feature ensures a secure fit, which adds an extra layer of comfort and stability. This toilet seat is not only functional but also enhances the overall aesthetic and usability of my bathroom. East install, high quality, comfortable
I can’t believe I’m so excited about a toilet seat that I’m writing a review, but here we are! This was so easy to install! The hard part was getting the old, corroded toilet seat off. I love this so much that I’m going to purchase again to replace the other two toilet seats in our home. The directions were clear, concise, and there were no typos. Cleaning will be so easy now! It looks nice, matches our toilet (though our toilet is a Mirabelle, not a Kohler) and our son’s potty training seat fits perfectly on top without wiggling. Honestly, it’s incredible quality for such an affordable price.

Excellently Functional
This seat is very sturdy overall, although for installation it's definitely easier if you have a second person to help. It's easy to clean, pleasing to look at, and the anti-slam lid is awesome. Would be five stars if installation was just a bit easier.

Great customer support
After insuring the color and fit before opening the box, I found a hinge cover broken into 7 pieces. Took some photos, DL'd the receipt, and navigated to Kohler.com expecting a robo-rep. I got to chat with a person (Daisy Z.) (at 7 pm-ish local, and she accepted my photos and receipt, and is sending me a new hinge kit, gratis.Product-wise, it's an easy install, looks nicer than my last one, and functions as expected. Don't hesitate to purchase Kohler, they stand behind their products.

Sturdy seat with soft-close feature for seat and lid!
This is a review for the KOHLER 4636-RL-0 Cachet ReadyLatch Elongated Toilet Seat. The Good: Everything. The Bad: The instructions. The Ugly: Seriously, the instructions. The Kohler ReadyLatch toilet seat is a really nice piece of work. It features a slow, soft-closing lid and seat as well. The material is plastic, but it has a good thickness and feels very firm under me when I sit down. I'm 6'2" and 280lbs currently, and there's not even any flex from the seat as I sit down. *Very* sturdy, indeed. The color is a basic white, just like the porcelain on most toilets, so it matches just fine. I have to give props to their packaging. Before you even open the package, it shows you the measurements and warns you to double check and make sure it'll fit on your toilet (and that you didn't order the wrong shape for your toilet!).That being said, the only downside was the instructions - there really wasn't much of any. I've taken off and put on a lot of toilet seats in my time, and they're all pretty straight forward - pop the tab on the top, grab the nut on the underside, use a screw driver to unscrew the plastic bolt from the nut, repeat on the other side, and job's halfway done. Reverse it to install. No problem, right? Wrong! This Kohler had a rubber encased wing nut with a tube that flared out at the end into a flat donut. What...the...okay! Let's check instructions...uhhh...nope...okay, *sigh* let's ask the Internet. Bingo. After hunting around the first couple search results, I found a gentleman installing one - on YouTube.I had to sit through five minutes of someone talking about their toilet and the seat, how their seat had a crack in it, etc etc etc, until suddenly he shows me the secret! FOLD THE WINGNUT SIDEWAYS AGAINST THE TUBE, SLIP IT DOWN THROUGH THE BOLT HOLE ON THE TOILET!!!After that, the install was very simple and straight forward. Position the toilet seat over the two bolt holes (now with a rubber tube installed and a wing nut hanging down on the other side) and install the two bolts that come with the lid.Final Thoughts: I've been using it now for a bit, and I have to say - it's different from my other lids, but I really like the design, fit and the angle of it. It's comfortable, but not "sit on the pot and watch funny cat videos" comfortable. Overall, I'd say it's competitively priced, and well worth the money.

So far, so good!
I put this in on Sunday, it's now Tuesday. So far I'm very happy with this. Installation was a little fiddly, but overall the instructions were easy to read and follow. We originally had the cheapest Kohler model with quiet close as a replacement for a few months. Seems there was a piece missing that allowed the pins holding the seat and lid to the hinges to stay in place, and they kept popping off. Disappointing, but though it was twice the price and had to be replaced very, very soon after getting the first, so far I am very pleased with this one. It seems a lot sturdier, and is way more comfortable. Two things to note: the easy mount anchors were super easy to install, however the screw on the second one did require me sticking my hand into the tank to make sure it was aligned. For some reason it was on an angle and the screw went through the side instead of straight down and would not catch. Took a little bit of fiddling to get it to line up properly. Easy enough to fix if not slightly annoying. Overall a much better installation than the old way.The other "issue" was that the quick release is VERY snug, and I had to pull so hard I was afraid it would break, but it did end up popping off and going back on rather easily. I'm hoping it loosens up a bit more with repeated removals so that I don't feel like I'm breaking something each time.
