NOT WHAT IS PICTURED - PURE FRAUD
I ordered because of the price. It is re-bottled in a non-safe bottle and had leaked inside the envelope. It is not labeled (at all, much less correctly) and was shipped without any safety information sheet. I am sure this has to violate any shipping regulations. How Amazon (I am trusting less and less of late) allows sellers to lie and post incorrect and misleading photos. If you are ordering this it is because you are a gemologist. If you are a gemologist you have been taught better than to use unlabeled dangerous chemicals. There is no way to know if this is actually Methyl Iodide nor the correct RI balance. Oy, what a mistake.

The real thing at a great price
I was very surprised to be able to buy R.I. (refractive index) liquid at this low price. A bottle that size normally goes for $60! It's the real thing, too. I bought two of them, one for a jeweler friend and one for myself (I'm a gemologist). Great stuff.

item like described
I had a refractometer but the cost of a bottle of R.I. fluids from some retailers was really high. I took a chance on this seller and the oil seems to work. The real problem was figuring out how to work the refractometer and getting the appropriate results!

From Oregon to Afghanistan in 10 days
I ordered this refractive oil because it had a good review and it was 1/third the price that others were asking. It arrived 10 days later, 8,000 miles away, wrapped in plastic bubble wrap and sealed with wax. I will definately order from them again when this bottle is spent.

Don't be fooled by the picture
What you get is an unlabeled bottle that looks more like a perfume bottle. Anybody with any experience handling chemicals knows you NEVER put chemicals in unlabeled containers. It is not only potentially dangerous, but also no doubt in violation of any and all regulations relating to transportation of chemicals. I would not trust that it is even the correct chemical if it comes from a source where labeling is considered optional.
