Love how much brighter these lights make my kitchen!
The Wiz Downlights are an excellent choice for those seeking to upgrade their home lighting setup with smart lighting. One of the key selling points of these lights is their compatibility with Alexa or Apple HomeKit via the Homebridge wiz plugin. This makes it easy to control and automate your lights using Alexa, Siri or the Home app on your iOS device. In terms of brightness, the Wiz Downlights truly shine (no pun intended). Compared to traditional PAR 30 lights, they provide a brighter and more evenly lit room, giving your home a warm and inviting atmosphere. The downlight design illuminates down and outward (no more dark ceilings). It is perfect for task lighting in kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas.Lastly, setting up the Wiz Downlights was a hassle-free experience. The step-by-step instructions are simple and straightforward, and even those with no prior experience with smart home technology can have these lights up and running in no time.In conclusion, if you're in the market for smart lights that work seamlessly with Apple HomeKit via Homebridge, provide excellent brightness, and are easy to set up, the Wiz Downlights are an excellent choice.

VERY bright, VERY easy to install
I love Wiz products. These retrofit downlights went up in minutes. They are quite bright, but with some easy programming we set them up with a trim setting that’s comfortable for us.Make sure you don’t use a 3rd party dimmer, only on/off switches or Wiz programmable switches. You use the app for dimming and color selection. They also have a variety of pre-programmed settings - some static modes like “Focus” and “Night Light”, and some dynamic ones like “Fireplace” and “Party”, or as we refer to it “Dance Party” because it cycles the lights between alternating RGB colors. They also have a function to have the brightness of the lights pulse to the sound of music.I intend to program the integrated SpaceSense functionality to have them turn off automatically when no one is in the room. I haven’t tried this out yet though.

Bright and easy to set up
Wiz lightbulbs feels like a hidden secret. They’re so easy to set up and rarely have any issues. They’re even affordable. It’s even better than they’re now integrated into Apple home. This recessed light is absolutely excellent. This one is much brighter than Wiz’s BR30 bulb I am replacing and set up is 5 minutes. It even seamlessly blends in by popping into my old can light. I’m not sure why anyone would spend money on Philips hue when wiz has plenty of affordable lighting selection and does NOT need the a hub to work. Even better, these bulbs are made by the Philips hue brand anyways. I never regret purchasing Wiz bulbs.

The Future has arrived….
The media could not be loaded. I love these down lights so much. The WiFi enabled motion sense is working exactly how I imagined it would and works VERY well. The lumens are satisfactory and the colors set amazing moods. Definitely filling my home with everything Wiz.

Great upper brightness, poor lower brightness.
These retrofit recessed LED lights are awesome with only one exception: at lower brightness levels under 20% it doesn't really dim down enough. For example at 1% it is almost the same brightness as 15%, which makes them unusable as nightlights.

Matter!
Product is easy to set up in Wiz app BUT, more importantly, are "Matter" certified! Set up with Apple Homekit and Alexa were super easy. Also, from a product and app point of view, full color spectrum and has this built in "motion" sensing. Winnaz!!

Caution! Known Noise Issue
Update June 2024 - bought units directly from Wiz and Amazon. Both in new 2023 boxes with Bluetooth and Matter stickers on box. They continue to make whining noise on many color temps so they are not fixed. The new slim canless wafer (non retrofit) works properly.—May 2023 - Our entire house is Wiz, we have several types of Wiz lights and they all work great. But NOT these downlights. These are the only Wiz bulbs with problems. They make noise as other reviews have pointed out. They produce a high pitched humming sound especially on the various white settings. They are also the only lights to intermittently power on.These lights are also behind on revisions — our other Wiz bulbs are rev A and rev B, no revisions for the downlight yet (as of May 2023)Wiz has also been unable to resolve via their case support, has been almost a month with no resolution or timeline.I’d wait until they fix/revise these downlights to be more responsive and noise free. They are very bright, super easy to install, and have a small format that will fit in any can. They will be great lights when Wiz works the issues out. I’ll update this review when they do.

Decent. Be careful though
I've called the manufacturers and read many experiences online. Philips is a very complicated brand, and I've concluded that the best hardware for Wiz lights is manufactured by Philips. This is a product that's certified to be a Wiz-associsted light, but is not manufactured by Philips.I've bought and tried these. They have a decent color range, decent response time, they work nice with Home Assistant and Google. Decent brightness. I will be buying exclusively from a familiar Home Improvement retailer for the Philips manufactured version of this product.
