So pretty
Se and time I have purchased this as a gift for someone. She is pretty, made of quality material. Great value for money. Purchased for mother who, collects barbies. She can be stored easy in a doll case.

One of the best from "Inspiring Women"
This is one of my favorite dolls from Barbie's Inspiring Women line. The outfit is beautiful and historically accurate; it even uses colors that were Madam CJ Walker's favorites. The face sculpt is beautiful - although I don't think it looks much like Walker. It's still a gorgeous doll, is fully articulated, and comes with a small container of hair product with Walker's branding. Great doll for collecting or for teaching kids some history!

Strong packaging
This Barbie is for my three year old great-grand-daughter. It arrived promptly and was packaged in a strong corrugated box on the outside and the inner box, through which the doll is viewed, is in perfect shape. I won't open it any further until the kid opens it herself. It is a bit old for her but all her Barbies are old ones she inherited, and we are white, and all those old barbies are, too. So I chose a black Barbie with some historical importance. She goes to pre-school where she has multicultural friends. so we wanted to encourage that exposure. I realize three is a bit young for Barbies, though.

History Alive
I love this series of dolls. I find about the signature woman featured such as Ida B Wells and couple it with the doll as a gift to children. It makes history relevant and definitely not boring.
