Waste of time
Everything works on the bench right when I closed up my project it didn't work. It powers on and off every 5 seconds for no reason ,n powers on and off for no reasonWasted 4 hours of my evening Thanks.

Seems like it works. Need proper connectors before I can successfully test.
The media could not be loaded. This is my FIRST standalone ESC, so I have NO idea how this works just yet. However, I CAN confirm that it does power a receiver and I'm guessing that it works. I haven't been able to get it to power a motor yet, but that's mostly due to my ineptitude in setting up the receiver. Once I'm able to figure out how to work the receiver, I'll update the review. What I can confirm though is that it powers on and the on/off switch works. You will need proper connectors to use this. The battery cable has a tiny connector that I'm unfamiliar with. It's not a Dean's/T or a Tamiya connector. I was lucky to find one battery that connected. The instructions are basically nil and simply explain the Throttle/Brake selector and other things. This can handle 2S and 3S, but there are limitations specified in the one-page manual. It's not a high-powered ESC and even states that it's made for smaller 16-24 scale motors. I wouldn't use this on anything larger than a brushed 390. If using 3S, make sure you read the specs/limitations.I've created a video of this so you can see exactly what this looks like and see the connections. This is best suited for someone who already knows how to use these. But if you're looking at these, you likely already know how to install and use these. I've also attached a couple pics of the wiring diagram and specs. I'll update this review when I get the correct connectors and figure out how to setup the receiver. I hope this review helps someone.

False claims
4 amps is ok but pushing it. Very thin wires and NO way this can handle 40 amps... It shuts down at 5 amps on a 7.2vdc battery... These are crap. A waste of my time and money.

Great for replacing older speed controllers in brushed applications
Who remembers the old reostat style speed controls you had to drive with a servo? i do!Brushed motors aren’t as in as they used to be in the RC word. Everything has gone brushless. But these are great small speed controls for robots, R/C boats and smaller R/C tank applications that still use brushed motors.Would recommend for the price if you are building a small skid steering robot and want an easy interface between your MCU or Raspi and brushed motors.

cannot deliver the claimed amps
I used a pair of these to drive 2 12v brushed motors (3s lipo), these motors are about 65watt, 12000rpm. They pull 5 or 6 amps each, ran OK on the bench.Installed into the R/C tank, 2 breakers at 7A eachIt will not run more than a few seconds, does not pop the breakers,so my guess is that they are good for about 3 amps at most.

Failed after just a few short runs, driving 35 watt 12V motor. 2 units with same outcome.
No external heat sink, heat trapped inside plastic housing, poor design, will fail 100% of the time with the rated load.
