Probably the best soundbar of 2022
Wow just wow what a soundboard it is the sound coming from it sounds like your sitting in a Cinema. Very straightforward to set up and get working also the wall mounting is like hanging up a clock or mirror very straightforward. This soundboard is really for dummies in a good way that's not very gifted with Morden day technology. I'm glad that this was my first ever soundbar I've purchased knowing the struggles my friends have with different brand of soundbar they've purchased in the past. You won't be disappointed with this soundbar like I said its the best on the market in 2022 I don't think Sony could improve this soundbar well done Sony on this soundbar.

Great for Smart TV users in medium size rooms. Limited upgradability
This unit came securely boxed but the packaging contained lots of polystyrene which is not recyclable. You get the unit plus a HDMI cable, a 3.5mm audio cable, remote, AAA Batteries and user guides. This takes a standard figure-8 power lead (supplied)There a few ways to connect this: optical (not included) or HDMI ARC (supplied). The latter will give you better sound quality via Dolby Atmos or DDplus. The optical will only supply DD.This is a 3.1 system with 3 front firing speakers and a sideways bass speakerYou can purchase extra wireless speakers to convert this from 3.1 to 5.1 and you can upgrade the bass speaker however these speakers are strangely expensive at 700 for the pair and the sub is the same price!Setup is simple via the on screen menu. Be mindful that you'll need to use the HDMI connector for the on screen display. The remote the small but functional. I think it's pretty old fashioned and not particularly well laid out. There's only one HDMI connection meaning that this really isn't to be used as a media hub....only as a sound system. This means this is only suited to smart TVs.The Update was 0.5gb and took 10 minutesThis is Alexa compatible and it was easy to setup via the Sony music app. Once you link your accounts so simply tell Alexa to play music on the soundbar. Note that Alexa isn't native to the speaker so you'll need an existing Echo Dot for this to function. So what's the sound quality like?I'm comparing this to my Marantz/Cambridge Audio Minx 3.1 set-up. The mindrange of this speaker is excellent and it is very musical especially at higher volumes. Voices are a little hollow sounding but clear. There's some bass and the internal bass speakers to this best but it's not replacement for a separate bass driver. The upgrade in sound quality from DD to DD+ and Atmos is really noticable. Listening to Altered Carbon on Netflix in Atmos was really excellent.Note that you can only use the spatial audio with the extra speakers. This is a great setup for a medium size room as I feel for bigger rooms you'd really need to push the small drivers.Overall at a current RRP of 500 quid this is a really nice purchase if you're after a neat soundbar for your smart TV with the latest codecs. Please note that speaker upgrades are far too expensive.

Audio Quality Was Poor, Thin and Boxy Far Below Expectations.
I bought the Sony HT-A3000 3.1 channel Dolby Atmos® Soundbar to pair with my Sony XR-55A95K – BRAVIA XR - MASTER Series – QD OLED TV I'd just purchased. The sound bar did not perform as I would have expected the audio quality was poor, thin, boxy and far below expectations, especially when viewing SD TV programmes. The overall sound experience as a whole was worse when compared to my built-in TV speakers. The Sony HT-A3000 3.1 channel Dolby Atmos® Soundbar has very few EQ controls or audio settings - and, it is not possible to adjust the TV equaliser to compensate or suitably improve a specific audio source for better sound quality. Was it just a one-off duff soundbar? I'll never know, returned for refund.

Great Sound Quality
The media could not be loaded. Along with the HT, you get an HDMI cable, a power cable, a remote with two AAA batteries, a 3.5mm analog cable for sending center channel sound to a compatible Sony TV, a quick start guide, wall-mounting template, and a full user manualThe A3000 features three oblong drivers for left, right, and center channels, as well as two rectilinear bass drivers and two side-firing ports. It’s slim enough that it will likely fit beneath most TVs without obstruction, but it also has optional IR repeaters, should it interfere with the signal between your remote control and TV.Behind that metal grille is a small OLED text display that shows you all of the status info you need from the current input, to volume level, to audio formats, if you need them. With AirPlay, Chromecast, hi-res audio, expandability, and advanced compatibility with Sony’s Bravia XR TVs, there’s little these soundbars can’t do.My opinion : The HT-A3000 virtual Atmos really better. With wifi connection, you can control amazon alexa with the activate speech command. Dialog quality really surprised me. The A3000 lacks dedicated tweeters but despite that I found dialog very clear and intelligible. Even though there is no external subwoofer, the basses are really clean. I recommend you to choose hdmi connection or optical connection to get high sound quality. The Bluetooth connection is absolutely fine. But if you are looking for the best, you should choose the wired connection.Tv series and movies with Dolby Atmos feature are truly incredible. I feel myself in the cinema while watching Dolby Atmos-enabled content. Highly recommend it...
