Great EDC knife!
I carry and use it daily. Flicks open and closed with one hand, durable, holds an edge pretty well, and it's small and light so I don't notice it much when it's clipped to my pocket. Definitely worth the price!

Nice little knife
I purchased this knife for EDC several months ago. I have carried it often and waited to write the review until I was familiar with it. The knife is well made and fits in the hand well. The clip keeps it sturdily clipped onto my jeans pocket. After practicing with the knife repeatedly I have become efficient at opening it and closing it with one hand. At first I was flummoxed at how to close the knife. However, it is just like any other skill and requires repetition to master. I have also lubricated the blade and it did help it open easier. Now that some of the lubrication has worn off the knife is again hard to open in one movement. Nevertheless, I work with it every day and each day it opens easier. I feel certain that with time it will loosen up and open freely with one hand. The knife came sharp and after trying it on many items, like you will with a new knife, I gave it a good sharpening to tweak the edge. Once very sharp, and before I became familiar with the Tanto point I did cut my finger pretty seriously opening a package. This was totally my fault. It did give me an opportunity to observe first-hand, so to speak, that despite its small size the M-16 knife can wreak havoc on human skin so be careful. I realize I am very unlikely to ever employ this knife in self defense. Nevertheless, as one of several personal security items I keep close it makes me feel much better than I did prior to owning it.

My favorite EDC for the price.
Can't go wrong with this knife for the price. Perfect size and pretty lightweight. Easy to open and close with one hand.

Nice knife. Smaller than expected, not as sharp as I'd like
I do really like this knife so far. It is a bit smaller than I expected though I didn't pay much attention to the size while ordering (so not taking anything off for that). The knife that was my EDC before I bought this was easy to open with a wrist flick or from a quick flip of the thumb peg at the base of the spine - so that is how I am accustomed to opening them currently. The thumb peg on this one doesn't do much on opening for me and I so far have not been able to get it to flick open. However the knurled knub on the back of the handle opens it very easily, though I'm not a fan of the placement of the knife in my hand that I have to use for that. (It is likely because I have very large hands and the knife is smaller than I would like, but while opening if I'm not careful the tip of the blade scrapes against the heel of my hand). My main complaint about the knife is the sharpness of the factory edge. Its not that its not sharp, it has a decent edge, but I would prefer it to be extremely sharp from the factory. Especially since this knife is black I'd like to hold off as long as possible before sharpening or re-profiling the blade so as to not risk scratching up the finish (I do very much like the finish on this knife - both blade and handle so I don't want to ruin it) so a factory edge that is razor sharp would be better. However, the very tip of the blade is extremely sharp, I just wish the whole knife was as sharp as that.A couple of other small thoughts -My old knife had a bit of knurling on the liner-lock area. This isn't a big deal for me directly, but if I loan the knife to someone not familiar with liner locks knurling makes it easier to direct them how to close it. This knife does not have that. The serrations are not very deep at all, I would prefer them to be a bit more pronounced.I would have preferred a different variation of this knife that they don't appear to make - I would have preferred everything the same except with a Spear style instead of the Tanto (personal preference), though I do like this Tanto blade (I just would have preferred spear). As I have large hands I would love to have a big-brother of this knife - same design, etc. except 1.5x to 2x larger. All in all I do much like this knife and it will probably be my new EDC (unless I find where I lost my old one!).

Great update to my favorite EDC
I've been carrying the CRKT M16-10 EDC line of knives for several years now. I've gone through 2 or 3 before this one, but only because I lost them. I was upset when CRKT replaced the aluminum handled version with the much wider and bulkier nylon handled version. I've been carrying another knife I like less since I lost my last aluminum M16. I recently decided to look again and saw this new Stainless Steel version. I decided to give it a try, and I am very impressed. It's thinner even than the old aluminum version, and weighs a little more. It feels very solid. The new design is simpler with fewer parts. The old "AutoLAWKS" safety is gone, and the spring lock (now the only lock) is part of the frame. My only complaint is that the spring lock is not quite as easy to close with one hand as the older version since it is basically flush with the other side of the grip. I'm sure I'll get used to it with a little practice though.Overall, I love this knife. I was sad to see the old design go, but I think I'm going to end up liking this one even more.UPDATE: 2/25/2016I just lost this knife on a hike this past weekend. (Note to self: When you hand your knife to your friend to fix lunch, remember to get it back before continuing on because they might set it on a log and forget it.) I still really like the knife and will be ordering 2 more (replacement + spare) which I may ask aforementioned friend to pay for. Something that I hadn't mentioned earlier is that it doesn't open quite as easily as the other versions I've had. You have to "flick" it a bit harder. But then again, maybe that's just because I hadn't cleaned it in forever. Once of the things I really appreciate about these knives is how easy they are to completely disassemble and clean using only some small torx bits. I usually do that every couple months. This is still definitely my favorite EDC knife design that I've come across.
