The cats love it. The male took to it immediately as I knew he would because he is an escape artist. The female finally tried it out after 2 weeks. She is much shyer than her brother. Not super sturdy but sufficient once put together and they are safe in it. I am happy with my purchase as are the cats! I think it is also attractive.

Poor instructions. did not clearly specify which length screws went where. Six cat platforms were ultra thin plywood wont hold a fat cat very well. warp easily. door latch cheap stamped metal doesn't work well replaced with brass one from hardware store. Door was notched for latch but not the frame didn't fit real well. ROOF came preassembled in three sections with colored green gravel asphalt roll roofing. panels didn't join together well slight bow in middle. had to use hot air gun to smooth out the curled up roofing material so three roof sections would fit together. then used clear silicon to seal roof sections. connected roof panels are too long left trim over hang on one end. Time to build 2 people most of the day. unit was straight forward to assemble. except for problems with rood and having to rework some panels because I used wrong screw. To give added protection from the weather need to apply sealer. varnish. stain. paint or other coating to protect wood. it comes with a thin stained varnish but needs additional protection. shelves need to be replaced with thicker material. supports are fine and will support them. Roofing could be replaced with plastic corrugated roofing panels from hardware stores. But supplied roof panels worked ok. If I built another one I would first varnish or paint panels before assembly. replace hinges and latch. Make sure You know where different length screws are going.

A lot of money for a very rickety rackety piece. The durability is also questionable. A few months in and the wire is peeling away from frame, the latches aren’t working well snd I can see my 300 dollars not even lasting a year.

I was very disappointed with the quality of this product for the cost. The box arrived damaged, but all the parts were accounted for.Upon opening the packages (arrives in two boxes), the poor quality was very evident. Many of the strips of wood were splintered so badly that it would be dangerous for your pet. Also the wire, which isn’t thick at all and flexes, wasn’t carefully attached so it was bent accordion style and had raw edges. I did my best to either cover this with support pieces or straighten it back out and staple gun it down, but the first time my cat was in it, she came in with a cut on her nose, and she wasn’t trying to get out. She was just smelling her new surroundings.After the enclosure was outside over night, the platforms had begun to separate. They are made of very thin sheets laminated together. Now that it has been oustside (it sits on a concrete slab), the under side of the roofing material is beginning to mildew.You need a couple people to put together, or at least several clamps. Directions could be a bit better, but not too bad.If you have very persistent cats or a small dog, I am not sure I would trust this to hold up without constant supervision.That being said, if you only plan to use it indoors and with kittens or cats who won’t pry their way out, then other than the splinters and possible injury from the wire caging, it would be OK, but just ok.I still don’t feel it is worth the price. You could easily build your own for that price, that would be much better quality if you have the tools and know how.

Was considering purchasing a second one to connect and extend. However I was nothing but disappointment. From uneven cuts, to missing parts, to pieces installed on wrong sides, to the predrilled holes not lining up, to crappy instructions and lets not forget the crappy, chipped, peeling broken wood and the bent and damage roof top! If I wasnt good with wood I would have sent back!

We are using this pen for our pet Raccoon. This pen was shipped in 2 separate boxes but came the same day. Easy instructions all the pieces and hardware were in the box we did have to get staples bc some of the wire was messed up (possibly from shipping) also knowing how destructive our precious Coonie Coon is we did a little reinforcing to make sure she couldn't pull out the staples she enjoys being outside its plenty big enough for her cat tree and she shelves that came with it are an extra bonus! we also hung a rope in the enclosure for her to play with overall very happy with this purchase!

Let me start by saying that I really like the design and that the screws are good quality (none of them stripped when screwing them in, which happens a lot with these types of assemblies). However there are a few negatives. The instructions are pretty poor. Yes they are diagrams and it isn't that difficult to follow, but there are only three and they are cluttered on one page. Not all of the pieces were labeled, so I had to guess which pieces were which from the diagram. Some of the pieces have the same letter, so be careful that you put the correct piece on the correct side. There also is no order to what to assemble, so it ends up being a process of which do I think would make it easiest. Further, this is definitely not a 30 minute assembly if you want it to be properly put together. Since there are guide holes in only one of the two wood pieces, I used a vise to keep them aligned and this took a bit of time. I would say two people may be able to finish it in 2-3 hours if they wanted it to be aligned and squared.

I will tell you this is a great item, the sellers are fabulous to work with. The only thing I would tell anyone is to assure you know the up and down and corner pieces. I didn't feel the instructions were helpful at all, way too little stated there, way too little. For sturdiness you need to know what goes up and what is a corner piece. The suggest not to use a drill, there is no way your wrists would survive without one as there are so many screws. We undid quite a bit and had to re do the walls up or down to assure we had the strength we needed at the joints
