I have followed Cara Devine on Youtube for over a year. Love her channel. Her book is just as good as her charnnel. It's a beautiufl book, well written with tons of great information. The printed copy is top qualiy with great pictures and easy to read. The recipes are easy to follow and are delicious. If you are looking for a good bar book, this is it. Highly recommend.

With bars shutdown over the pandemic, I was forced to reverse engineer my wife's favorite cocktail. That was the tip of the iceberg that led to an obsession of learning to make amazing classic cocktails of all sorts. I discovered the Cara's behind the bar youtube channel and the rest is history. Cara goes way beyond cocktail recipes. She teaches you history, fundamentals of balance, selection of quality ingredients and the key techniques to produce amazing cocktails. If you follow her advice and copy her approach to making drinks, you will easily become the best bartender your friends have ever known. With this book and her youtube channel, you can easily take the art of mixology to the next level. Highly recommended!

This is a most beautiful, intelligent, and informative book. I've made cocktails the "Classic Way" as per the "Experts". I always follow the instructions. Sometimes good, sometimes not so good.Cara gives you an understanding of how a cocktail is constructed and the knowledge and permission to make it your way.I have already made the best "Old-Fashioned", (which is a simple cocktail), that I've had. I love this book.I'm only sorry that I don't live near Melbourne.Thanks Cara.
