Good quality
Took me a little while to get going but did a great job on my wood chisels. There are a lot of very good training video's on youtube well worth watching

Perfect
Easy to assemble, perfect at a very reasonable price. Already sharpened both sets of chisel, all my kitchen knives, scissors and an axe. Razor sharp now.

i bit dissapointed with gentle wobble on grinding wheel
overall good/ a bit above avarage product , however 2 factors makes it not so useful as it suppose to be . 1st , I had wobble on grinding wheel when came out of box, after spending 2 hours managed to reduce this to minimum but it still is visible (not sure if this is common or i was quite unlucky) , 2 quality of jig that comes with this tool is average and needs a bit tuning prior use to keep your chisels or plane blades in parallel position. overall it does the job but is missing reference points and sliding rail has too much resistance on move even after you apply wd-40 or similar product on it. Using this to mainly to start sharpening process on tools then switching back to higher grit wet stones , and strop on other side works very good .

Good but could be better
Bought the single speed version solely for use in shaping and sharpening a new set of woodturning gougesOut of the box all seemed good - a robust looking piece of kit - and value for money compared to Swedish alternative - 1/5th cost actuallyEasy to set up, however the grind wheel seemed rather eccentric and certainly out of true plus rather soft- which can be rectified with a diamond truing jig (additional expense)Honing wheel seemed ok so looked into adding smaller V wheels with which to hone gouges . Contacted Bucktool for advice but they do not supply and cannot help with alternative- then found that the honing wheel shaft is 8mm not 12 mm like the other end of the shaft so not possible to add third party V wheels without buying 12 - 8mm reducers and a new knob with 12 mm thread {additional expense}The arm is ok (not brilliant) but no micro adjuster so looked to fit a Tormek and was advised by company that the US-103 would fit - it doesn't - more expense and a returnMotor noise became more of an intermittent growl after a whileAccessories supplied rather cheap metal but have not tried them so I cannot commentIMO this machine is probably fine for knives, planes and other light work and would be good value for money if that is what it is being purchased for, but for what I want it is a pity that it did not quite rise to the occasion and was returnedBucktool customer service do respond to queries albeit the information is not always correct

Razor sharp finish
I used a Tormek in my job at a salmon processing plant for many years. This unit is almost identical, but at less than half the price of the Tormek.Does a fantastic job - as long as you remember to rotate the wheel away from you, when stropping π (well it has been a few years since I used one).Really pleased with my purchase.
