Great design. Warn build quality.
Heavy duty. Futuristic design look. Brass pulley wheel for no sparks. Works great. Just make sure you use the right size rope/wire. Regular winch rope size works great. I tried putting some utility rope (3/8”) through and it got stuck in between the pulley and one side of the shackle. But it’s for (truck) winch rope…so, that’s expected, I guess.Anyway, it’s a bit pricey compared to “not Warn” brand. But it’s the one everyone wants. I’m never sorry I got it. Just a little nervous it will “walk away” or “get misplaced” on the trails.

A Big Improvement & Great Value
This hook was purchased to replace the standard, silver hook shipping with my WARN Zeon 12 winch. It's a substantial improvement in several ways: The throat is larger allowing easier placement of tree straps or other items; the gate is heavier-duty than the thin, comparatively fragile gate of the original hook, and the over all size and heft is substantially greater as well. For the money, especially compared to other, far more elaborate and expensive options - it's a no brainer. Added bonus, it looks great on the front of your rig. This hook is a great value, highly functional and superb looking.

Yes, it's expensive, BUT
I'll go with name brand winching accessories before the cheaper stuff.WHY?Look, I'm not a name whore. I love a bargain as much as the next person. But when you start talking about the forces involved when winching, I want to know that the equipment I'm using is actually rated at what they say.WARN has been a leader in the winching game for a very long time. And even if some of their stuff isn't made in the U.S., I'll bet the quality control on it is better than most.I got the Large Recover Kit because everything is rated for over what my winch is rated at.(the winch blankets did NOT come with the kit...... something I think SHOULD be included)Look, it's simple.... if you have a 12K winch (which I do) and you want to do a double line pull.... EVERYTHING in the winching setup must be rated for at least twice 12K. So 24K of pull (or more). Winch line, snatch blocks, the tree your using as a winch point, shackles and pull points on your rig. EVERYTHING.The price of rated winch gear is directly proportional to the amount of pull. More K's, more money. This kit has enough gear to do a snatch (the rubber band), double line pull, has a tree saver and a couple of rated shackles. The gloves are nice, but may too big for some folks. And it all fits in the very nicely in the (pretty heavy) backpack.I added a couple more WARN shackles, and a couple of safety blankets. (the extra shackles fit in the backpack)Should WARN have included the blankets? Probably.... That's probably the only ding I can give to the kit.Overall...I'm very happy with this kit. But the quality of the items included is very good. The finish is very nice and looks like it will hold up for many years to come. You can go cheap with a lot of things, but the last thing you want, when you're stuck in the middle of nowhere, buried to the axles in sticky mud, trying to get your 9K truck, pulling a 3K trailer.....is to have a "rated" shackle or snatch block, come flying back at you with 20K/lbs+ of force.Like the saying goes buy once, cry once. Get good gear.

New Epic Winch Hook For ATV!
Bought this hook to replace a very worn out original hook on an ATV winch. Really liked the look of the WARN Epic line of products. So bought the 5000 lb. version of this hook to try it out. Feels and looks better then the original hook. So far no problems and holding up very nicely. After using and seeing this in action now planning on buying some more WARN Epic products.Yes I know it's made over seas. It's really hard to find anything made in the USA anymore. But what do you expect when today's society have forced so many company's to shut down factories and move elsewhere and unfortunately it is usually out of the USA! You just have to go with what is available to you even though you might not want too.

Nice Snatch Block
Haven’t used it yet.But it seems perfect.Smooth enough to use it with a soft shackle.I feel this Snatch Block is a must even if you have the slip donuts. Not too heavy. Nice size.

Roll On
A quality wire rope pulley built heavy duty, complete with grease fitting. Bought 2 each and the first use was to pull a 12000 lb tractor, axle deep in mud, back onto solid ground. Using the two pulleys was able to crest a multi-part line to increase the pulling power of the 16500 lb rated electric winch. Had to chain the back of the winch vehicle to a substantial, 20 inch tree. With the winch vehicle secured the winch with the heavy duty pulleys were able to pull the tractor out. A tough, dependable, stout product.

Buy them if you like the look.
The shackles are functionally just fine. I specifically ordered them because I love the way they look. If you're not into the ascetic, then money can be better spent with USA made shackles like crosbys. I was also disappointed they did not come with any isolating rings at this price range. If you want to permanently mount these on your vehicle they will make a lot of noise. It's odd that I had to borrow the isolation rings from my el cheapo $15 shackles to use on these much more expensive shackles.Great product, but not great value.
