I always enjoyed cases from this brand and will always get a new one. Phone is always secure and it protects it with the worst of drops. Very easy to install, phone functions well within the case, and the buttons don't lose any function. Very nice thick case that stands the test of time.

In my opinion, the otterbox defender is the best phone case on the market. I’ve been using it for years on different iPhones and have never had a problem. Very sturdy and durable, and keeps your phone safe. Some people may say they are a little bulky, but I would take that over a damaged phone any day. I hope they never stop making this model, I would 100% recommend.

I purchased this on a cyber Monday deal so I only paid about $30. This case is worth the full price and when I decide to upgrade, I will be getting another one. The physical case feels premium and quality. I would not consider the case to be a squishy rubber material, it is just slightly textured with a slight rubberized feel. It was fairly easy to put on my phone. I am blind, so I bought this case site unseen. 🙌👍 so I was a bit dismayed at the clip on back portion. however,-well you have to take the phone off the clip to use the camera. It snaps together with very little pressure and holds amazingly well! my phone falls out of my pockets constantly so having a clip on the back of my phone ensures it never false out. I never understood the hype of this brand and why people swore by it. I do now.

The media could not be loaded. You need to make absolutely sure that you hear a second click when you clip your phone on the belt clip. If not, it will fall off and your phone will be smashed.UPDATE: As it turned out, the 'first click', which seems a bit weak, is the one that clicks into place, as intended. When I pressed harder, the 'hook' on the holster actually goes beyond the click slot and goes outside of the recessed slot.The weaker/thinner material flexes more easily, compared to previous models, so I am not so sure about its ability to hold the phone securely in place while I am running around.I think it's time for me to switch to a fully-enclosed carrying/belt-clip case to protect the lenses and ensure that it does not fall out. It was a miracle that my 8+ has been exposed this way for 6 years and I didn't end up with a scratch. I don't think this is possible, since the total lens area is 8X larger than the 8+, which means 8X more likely to be damaged.

This is by far the best case that I have ever used. OTTERBOX has always been my first choice of phone cases. I had this same type of case years ago on my first iPhone, I loved it. It has a handy clip you can quickly clip it to the waste of your pants if you need to. Clip it to a divider in your purse so you can quickly retrieve it from your purse, no more digging in your big purse looking for it. You can also stand it on the long edge, the clip rotates and it is used to stand the iPhone on its side so you can see the clock and either the temperature or your calendar or reminders, text messages, depending how you have the new upgraded iOS 17.3 set up while it’s plugged in and charging. Even turn it into a digital picture viewer using this clip holster. It is a military grade drop tested and very much worth the buy. If you are not wanting a bit on weight and bulk to your phone you may want to go with a different case. OTTERBOX does have other great iPhone cases that are lighter and still protect very well.
