Fit and performance review from hot weather biker
Let me start with the fit. I'm 5'10", 155 lbs, 40" chest, male, and ordered a medium, and that's a good fit. It's got breathing room, but not too big.Now for the performance. I've been on two rides since purchasing. First day was an hour long ride at 95 degrees fahrenheit, high humidity, 2 lane highway speeds for about an hour. Was also wearing full face helmet, denim jeans, leather vest. I definitely stayed cooler than I would have without it. Second ride was at 100+ degrees, high humidity, freeway speeds for about two hours. Other safety gear was the same. Again, I stayed noticeably cooler than I would have without the evaporative vest. I did not fully saturate the vest, and it had just about dried at the two hour mark. The vest chafes just a bit around the neck, but it's not a problem, just an observation. Also, note that the vest works through evaporative cooling. This means that your torso will get wet. It also means that the vest will be noticeably heavier when wet. This should be expected... just sharing for folks who may not have considered this.Definitely will use again.

Great on motorcycle
This works great on a motorcycle. Keeps me cool for hours and easily recharged on long rides. Only recommendation I would have is offering it in smaller sizes as the medium is still a little big to fit under my jacket. To those who reviewed saying it is slimy or gooey have not followed the directions and soaked it for too long. How do I know? One time I accidentally soaked it for longer than the recommended 10 minutes and it was gross, I left it soaking for about 40 min. I just let it dry out and it was fine the next time. Pay attention to the directions and it works great!

Using while Riding a motorcycle in Arizona summer.
I got this as a test to see if it would be worth spending a lot of money on a more purpose-built cooling vest for the summer. I was quite surprised by how well and long that this kept me cool while the temps were 115 deg F. It stayed damp for about 2ish hours, which I think is good in this heat. I would recommend it. However two things I would advise. order one smaller than this says to get. my second comment is yes, this does work on motorcycles but unless you are riding for a long time you might be better off getting one of those freezer pack ones so it does not look like you just went swimming when you get off your bike after anything less than 45 min ride (a commuting ride).Overall this is a good buy for the price. It definitely works for the time being.

Absolutely terrible. Don't skimp on something you wear on your skin.
The material chafes, it cools you down but it gave me a bad rash. It drips. Everywhere. It's too damn big, not everyone weighs 400 pounds. If you move, the stiff material pushes against your arms. Terrible vest that I can't recommend for anyone. I get uncomfortable wearing this thing sitting down. In my comfortable chair. At home. I can't jog with this because it flops everywhere and chafes worse.

Cool Vest
Hi All Bikers, I live in Phoenix, AZ and it gets really hot. I got this to use under my ventilated Joe Rocket riding jacket. This works really well and really helps to keep your torso cool. You just have to submerge it for about 2 minutes in water and then squeeze the excess water out of the jacket. It will make your shirt damp so if your are going to a function or work, you might want to take another shirt and just wear a T-shirt for the ride. I must say that I have a 53 mile commute in 100+ degree heat and this works! After I got to work, I hung it up and it was still cool the next morning, 10 hours later. Get this if your in a hot climate! It will save you from dreading the ride.

Excellent construstion - Poor, poor value and longevity
My vest worked well until it didn't work. I got maybe 15 soak and ware cycles until the inner crystals dissolved. Manufacturer date is very important in the selection of one of these vest as you will read below. The vest doesn't have a manuf. date on it, and you can not tell how long this vest will function when you buy it. It could have "expired" in cooling usefulness before your first use. The company says that "time" is the criteria and not soak cycles. Here's what the company had to say: company email sent on 07/19/2023Hello, Acrylic polymer crystals (what is housed in the vest) have a shelf life of about 3 years, so if you purchased in 2020, it makes sense why you are not feeling like the polymers are absorbing water the same. Unfortunately, even though it was only used 15 times, you will need a new one due to the time you have had it.Regards, Jessica Hawkins // Senior Customer Support Specialist // ErgodyneI now have a very well-made vest that has no use or value due to criteria that was not stated by the Manufacturer. How many soak cycles will you get when you purchase it...impossible to know if you get (1) or (??). The vest is a waste of natural resources and a pretty poor design overall when it comes to function.

As advertised, and as reviewed
Certainly helps with cooling in hot, dry and windy conditions (for me that's riding my motorcycle on hot days). Only downside is that it will get your clothing wet. I may still look into getting a mesh jacket as well, but it doesn't feel like a necessity any more.
