I'm in the process of setting up an online knife business and it's quite difficult to take pictures of shiny blades for my website. So, I thought that I'd give this a try - it's turned out to be a home run! Using this along with a truly vertical overhead camera mount with clean, white light, my pics have come out looking like a pro did them. I'm no pro; if you're not a pro and need to take pics of shiny objects, this is worth it's weight in gold and will make your life a whole lot easier. It's a great product!

My first project was a series of catalog shots of watches. The cone did amazing well at hiding all of the glare. I watched Karl Taylor's video and learned how to add in some reflections using tape. The whole project went amazingly well and only took about 90 minutes instead of an entire day. Well worth it.

Yes it's a bit pricey. Yes, you could make your own. But by the time you'd found a material that works this well, figured out how to cut it to form this shape, and somehow fastened the edges together, you'd have spent a lot of time on something not quite as good, and wish you'd just bought this instead.I popped it together, put some lights on it, and got the perfect shot. Bing. Just like that.

This cone really helps with lighting and reduces reflections on silver jewelry. My items are very small and I use an iPhone. I do find that the cone makes it hard to get closer to the item (like a photo of an earring on an ear). I also need to figure out a way to hold this horizontal so I can take certain pictures. I’m sure the creator has a video that helps with this.Overall, I am very glad I bought it. It has reduced my time having to color correct product photos.

The media could not be loaded. The VFlat light cone has been an absolute game changer in the way I am able to photograph reflective objects. I photograph a lot of reflective jewelry that has a ton of texture, so the light is bouncing from so many angles that it is difficult to eliminate. Using this light cone has allowed me to create near-flawless images with a simple two-light setup, allowing me to shoot higher volumes super quickly. It's so easy to use and lays flat when you aren't using it, so it takes up practically no room and is easy to store. The video I'm sharing uses just natural light, and you can instantly see the results. So, no matter whether you are a seasoned professional or a small business owner trying to take better photos of your products, this light cone is a lifesaver!

I will make this exact same thing (6 of them actually) for a whopping $20.00. Product works, but the price tag is absolutely absurd.

It was well backed and easy to assemble. What I didn’t count on was needing special (i.e. photographic) lights. I had the idea that the room light would work. It doesn’t work around anything that has a round bulb cover, as it throws half circle lights through the cone. Anyway, not so much for the amateur person selling on ebay etc.

I'm glad to have found this product on Amazon. I am a product/ e-commerce photographer and this thing really helps me a lot. I used to cut the diffuser to make a cone shape but it does not stand well. This light cone to me is in perfect size, suitable on cans, cosmetics, and jewelry. In fact, I bought this to help with jewelry photography in particular and it does not disappoint me! Highly recommend it!
