My dad wanted this for his soldering. It is real fir resin, smells like it, gets the job done. Dad approved!

I purchased this to try burning in my censer as an incense. I smelled the resin while it was in the bag and it didn't smell like anything, which is typical for some resin incenses, they need heat to release their scent. I use a small foil "boat" lined with salt on the bottom to disperse the heat more evenly and placed a few of the smaller tears on it and placed it in my censer. It melted almost immediately, which was nice, however the smell it realized was incredibly foul, like burning rubber. I had to air out the room I tried burning it in. I'm not sure how this performs in other applications but the seller mentions it can be used as an incense and for that purpose it doesn't perform well.
