For the record I am reviewing: Portable Smoking Gun Cocktail Smoker, Drink Smoker Handheld Smoker Infuser for Meat Salmon Cocktail Cheese with 8 Flavors Wood Chips.I got this at Christmas time and have not used it until now. First, wow, they do put a lot in such a tiny package. I am very happy with my purchase. The thing works amazingly well. I made some salmon lox, salted, sugared, re-hydrated, then smoked. I placed the salmon in a plastic bag, pushed out all the air then stuck the hose into the bag and filled it with smoke. Let it sit for 20 minutes then did it again, and again. The flavor was amazing. This little thing saved me from having to buy a smoker and learn how to operate it properly. I like it, sure you do not get the desired "Smoke ring" because you are not "smoking" it in the traditional sense of the word, but for just adding that subtle smoke flavor, wow, it worked really well. I am very happy with my purchase. They also included extra pipe screens and lots of chips for smoking, I think to smoke my salmon I used about a tablespoon and a half of chips over the three times I did it. So the amount they give you should last you at least a while depending on how often you want to add some smoke flavor to whatever you are making. I can definitely see this on my Christmas gift list to be giving our to friends next Christmas.

It stopped working two weeks in.

It produces a lot of smoke and adds a nice flavor to the item. However, it also produces a lot of smoke from the top of the machine where you put the wood in. Gifted it to my dad for Christmas and he loves it and has become a staple in his old fashioned drinks.

Smoke a tree without effort! Haven't tried it on food yet but it works perfectly with the addition of 2 more fine mesh screens into the "bowl"
