Worked perfectly.
This one worked perfectly. I went with this one after I had to return the one I originally purchased from another seller that arrived defective.

2nd time is a charm. Bulb works fine, bulb retainer is a problem.
The bulb and prompt delivery get the 4 stars. The Flowtron bug zapper not so many. It took me two tries at replacing the bulb. Each time the bulb arrived on time, and worked just fine. But I shattered the first bulb on installation (and it seems that I'm not the only one that has shared this experience). The bulb retainer on the Flowtron 80W zapper is a pain. It is very difficult to install a new bulb without shattering it. Too much force is required to reinstall the retainer. So on the 2nd go-round I made a modification (see picture). I placed the retainer on a block of wood and used a 3/4" wood chisel to split each of the retainer tabs into 5. Installation was easy after that. The modified retainer holds the bulb just fine.

Does not seem to work as good or be as great as the one I had 15 years ago.
I have had the Flowtron BK-80D every sence the first of last summer 2014 and have now had to replace both bulbs. The first one went out about 2 months after purchase. The second about a week ago 7/ 2015. The BF-150 Bulb I order this year would not push into the socket for the four prongs were two large. So I sanded the prongs down and the bulb would fit. I also noticed that for my BK-80D that when I first bought it last year the tops of the bulbs would would not light up blue just orange. So I turned the bulbs around and put them in and they both lit up solid blue. No where does it say the bulbs has to be a certain direction, but mine do are they will not light up totally blue. The name Flowtron made in China has to be facing inward toward each other. Am I the only one with this problem or is it just my Flowtron? The other problem is mine does not draw mosquitoes. I had a Flowtrom about 15 years ago and you could hear and see the Flowtron drawing mosquitoes all night long. Also you could not get close to the older Flowtron because it was surrounded by mosquitoes. Thats why I bought a Flowtron again but this new one does not draw mosquitoes. I don't know if we have a new breed of mosquitoes that are not drawn by the Bug Light or the newer Flowtron does not work like the older one I had. I also have a half an acre Flowtron BK-15D and this one does not draw mosquitoes either. Mosquitoes seem to laugh at both. Ha, Ha!

Bug light
The light arrived well packed with no damage. It works great! Its been zapping bugs every second or two with no problems! Its been zapping lots of mosquitos especially because of all the rain weve had here in my area. I bought an extra bulb for it and it comes with a mosquito attractant that you place underneath the frame but i didnt install it as it definatly killing mosquitos and other insects without it. I do reccomend keeping it clean as possible and making sure theres not a bunch of bugs stuck all around it. Do not use a waterhose to clean it! I placed mine 25 ft from my porch. Any closer and it draws bugs. I use a raggedy old feather duster to brush it and keep it clean. Its a great light and doing its job. Love it!! Highly reccomended! Great quality! Thanks! Debra C. Tx

Perfect replacement for my Flowtron BK-80D. But, be careful how you install them.
I read other reviews mentioning that these bulbs break easily on installation. I found the install to work very well without any modifications to the lower tabs as indicated on some reviews I read. I achieved this by removing the plastic cage/cover, replaced bulbs and carefully reinstall the plastic cage/cover. I didn’t even attempt to replace the bulbs using the lower bulb retainer tabs. I strongly believe I would have broken the bulbs trying to replace them that way. Just a few screws to remove all the plastic housing and it also gave me a chance to clean the entire unit. The bulbs were indeed different from the original bulbs that shipped with the unit, but by replacing them this way I felt very confident that they were not going to break. My unit required two bulbs to be purchased as I have the Flowtron BK-80D. Someone mentioned the direction of the bulb mattered so I just made sure I kept the orientation of the bulb the same by using the lettering on the bulb as reference. I hope this helps someone in the future as I was quite nervous purchasing these replacement bulbs knowing others have had complications in installing them. They are expensive, but replacing them was much appreciated after I saw how much of a significance in the reduction of bugs with the new bulbs installed.

Replacement bulb for BK-80D works great!
The Flowtron BF-150 Replacement bulb work great in attracting and killing mosquitoes in my backyard. I have 1/2 acre with a large open field behind the fence line. There are too many mosquitoes in my environment so I have to do something so I can at least enjoy being outside in my backyard during the short summer months without being eaten alive by 1000s of mosquitoes. The bug zapper does not kill ALL of the mosquitoes in the area but it does make the environment more manageable to enjoy being outside.

Works great easy to install
Just received these today and they are working fine. Easy install - UNPLUG the unit, remove two screws retaining the plastic cover on top of the unit and then four screws holding the bulb platform in place. Lift platform out gently. Remove old bulbs and snap in new bulbs. BE CAREFUL lowering the new bulbs back into the unit. Mine held in place as I lowered them into the unit but they don't seem to be fasten in very tight and would easily break if dropped. Work in reverse to put the unit back together. The original bulbs lasted two years and I am hoping to get that or more out of these.

Zaps the bugs, moths, and mosquitos.
Does the job in my electronic bug zapper, but doesn't last very long. I have replaced them 3 times this past spring and summer season. However, I can tell the difference in the number of varmits flying around while sitting out by the pool or firepit.
