Chocolate Gold Coins, 1lb Bag

Best chocolate ever! Good value.

We used these as game prizes for a D&D themed children's birthday party. Kids loved them, flavor was better than some chocolate coins I've had in the past. Warning, they will melt if held in your hand too long.

The coins taste really good but many of them arrived unwrapped. I found that a bit frustrating because I needed to give them out to kids. But I would buy again

The bag of coins was indeed a full pound, and all were in good condition. The quality of the chocolate is better than I expected, with fairly high cocoa content. It's sweet, soft, and melty, typical of milk chocolate. Rather granular cocoa mass, but the temper is still good. Really, much better than most milk chocolate coins, which either have a poor, waxy temper or easily distemper on the shelf. I prefer dark chocolate, but for kids these are perfect, and I expect to buy them again.

Many of wrappers are split at the edges and the chocolate is open and exposed. The ones that were totally sealed still don't taste good, very low quality chocolate. It would have been a better deal to buy the smaller bags from the dollar store for the quality of the chocolate that you're getting.

I am a lifeguard/swim teacher and in 2020 during the pandemic (like most other places) we were being overworked and underpaid, unsure how safe we really were from covid-19(but still needing to pay bills). My co-workers and I basically had no better reason to show up other than to have fun with each other, and have theme days. We had a bunch of randome ones, but our big halloween theme was shipwrecked pirates(Goonies style). These chocolates were to leave at the window for our patrons to have a safely/cleanly packaged halloween treat. They looked awesome with the theme, and tasted great!! I was expecting a big bag of cheap dollar store quality chocolate, and was absolutely thrilled that this was not!! Highly recommend.

Perfect and chocolate itself was good as well!

This product is hit or miss. I've ordered it multiple times. If you're lucky, you get the nice-orangey gold wrappers (good for Lunar New Year) that are well-stamped and the chocolate tastes pretty good. 80 came in the bag. If you're not so lucky, you get these pale gold wrappers with poor stamping and the chocolate is not as good. 65 came in the bag. Both are about 1.5 inches in diameter, but the pale gold ones are slightly larger.
