Incredible results for a reasonable cost!
I bought it after seeing on Reddit a video of this basket *not* bending under pressure from the machine.- I can say it lived up to expectations, extractions are amazing, and I can clearly notice a few streams through my bottomless portafilter meaning a more even extraction across all the puck and less channelling.- Material feels the same like IMS's other Nanotech filters (I own 2 and am very pleased with them), but the price is pretty much the same but you get a better result. Highly recommended!!!- It also magnetizes better to my dosing funnel than the regular precision baskets.- Cleans easily like other nanotech filters- I'm using an ECM Casa V, pump tuned to 9 bars. comparable to Rancilio Silvia/Gaggia Classic.- Grinder is Eureka Mignon Specialita- Medium roast beans- Warning - probably wouldn't recommend only to people using a less consistent grinder such as a Breville or the simpler Ascaso models, which are quite common ones.- If you have any decent grinder - definitely a strong buy!

Works great
I could not tell the difference in coffee flavor but the puck pops out exceptionally easily and the basket is really nicely made

Makes great espresso but difficult to dial in.
Even when the flow isn’t 100%, it still makes a decent espresso. I’m using just a dark roast as a throw away bag to dial in, definitely recommend getting a throw away bag for practice. It’s a bit complicated because certain settings that are repeated give different results. I use a Jmax 1zpresso grinder and I was at a 3.5 with 20g of coffee and it was all over the place and side channeling was present. I then dial it down to a 3 and it has nearly no flow, huh? I go to a 3.3, the flow is too fast. I go to a 3.2, it’s even faster. I dial it to a 2.8 for a goof and it came out a bit fast but it was 40g and change at 22 seconds. It’s the closest I got that far to a nice espresso, flow was still all over the place and had side channels as well, but it made an okay espresso that time. I’ve seen other videos on YouTube where they just NAIL IT on that try. I can’t tell if this needs to be finer or course but it difficult to nail when it seems to have different results every time.

Enhanced Coffee Extraction with Excellent Filter Basket
This filter basket is an impressive addition to my coffee setup. It provides increased flow, accommodating very fine grinds, and excels with medium and light roast coffees, particularly single-origin ones. However, it requires careful preparation of the coffee puck to avoid channel formation and shortened extraction times.Despite this learning curve, the basket is excellent overall, particularly due to its nanotech finish which simplifies cleaning. A worthwhile investment for coffee lovers seeking to enhance their brewing experience.

Disappointed
I love well made things and damn good coffee! The good : )So very well made and nice looking. Thick stainless and the nano coating is fantastic. The bad : (Surprisingly, bad coffee. This is strange, as I have several baskets and never had this issue. After playing around with prepping and grind size, I can say it appears that the actual holes are smaller than anything I own. The extraction lacks fine particles that give espresso that rich mouth feel. Basically, it’s too clean, bland and lacking richness. Don’t know if it’s just the hole size or a combination of this and the nano coating. Whatever the reason, it seems to defeat the very purpose of rich extraction. Maybe good for those who like the lighter roasts or something. Not for me, though. My Equipment:Izzo Duetto mark3Eureka 65 grinder. Both made in Italy.

I could not get decent extraction
I am a home enthusiast and extract decent espresso on a Gaggia Pro with stock 18g basket for at least 5 years. The E&B 18g basket requires a lot finer grind. On my DF64 grinder is about 5 levels finer. I do not understand this basket. Based on theory, grinding finer normally results in more bitterness. Comparatively, this is what i observed with a Colombian medium dark roast. The extraction is channelling even after it starts well with drops from entire surface. Grind even finer or what ? Perhaps for lighter roasts grind finer will result in an ok extraction. I did not try it. Basket is going back to seller.

Big improvement over most stock filters
I bought this filter for a Rancilio Silvia 3. WORD OF WARNING: You'll need to buy the Silvia's accessory bottomless portafilter, because this basket is too deep for the stock one. What do you get for it? Well, if you're even looking at this item you probably already know the reasons for buying it. Principally, more consistent extraction. I was also seeking a filter that would hold a larger dose of coffee.Does the nano-coating on the E&B work? YES. Coffee pucks fall out of it very cleanly and with minimal effort. The fact that it is ridgeless helps this. The fact that its sides are cylindrical with no taper at all ALSO means that you can use a better-fitting 58.5mm tamper, instead of having to use a 56mm tamper in the stock Rancilio ridged/tapered portafilter baskets. That makes for better tamping with less mess. Before buying the E&B, I was uncertain whether I'd actually see a benefit from it. Now, AFTER buying it, I wouldn't go back.
