Monoprice adaptor cable does not fit 6 pin connector on GPU
The purpose of this item is to tap off SATA power from a 15 pin connector and power a graphics card (GPU) through a 6 pin connector. It Wednesday, have other parts coming Friday so I was planning to do an upgrade Friday. So, I shopped for a different source for this part, found and ordered a Startech cable. I checked several sellers and Amazon looked like the only on that could deliver by Friday, so I bought one from Amazon - and paid for expedited delivery.Having done that, I decided I should return the original defective part to Amazon. But Amazon won't pay shipping back. And I won't either because it will cost more than the cable did to begin with. So I have no way left to register a complaint with Amazon.The product was defective (see below) and Amazon support does not exist unless your problems fits the check boxes Amazon provide. The do allow a description of the problem if you can fit it in to a limited number of characters. Apparently Amazon is not interested unless you can describe a situation in two short sentences. I'm sure in Amazon's view, it's all my mistake for serving my needs first - get a replacement item fast - rather than immediately go to Amazons check the box return policy.

Salvaged the last few $ on a GC, ended up giving my salvage server more power!?
With this purchase I was able to successfully boot an old AMD GPU in one of my salvage builds. Momprice is known for a level of competency, but you don't see at these prices often. If you need a 6 pin and have some extra PSU side SATA heads, now the time.

Works as intended - cheap option to sort additional device(s)
Arrived within 24hrs, exactly as purchased and powers my step-daughters Corsair iCue Fan Controller flawlessly via SATA power.Will purchase again when the PCI-E to SATA adapter is needed in future builds.

Absolutely perfect. I have two of these in two different PCS and have had them for years.
I'm really surprised that this doesn't come with most gpus. It really is a necessity. Especially for those of us that are using a cheap, pre-made slick deals PC without the proper pins.I am using this in two HP's, both have a 450 watt PSU, but none of the required 6-pin adapters for the GPU's that I want to use. This solves the problem quite handily.I built a machine that had an XFX video card, and it actually came with this cord. Obviously not by this manufacturer but a similar cord. And it has been working for over 5 years.So if you need a 6-pin and don't have one, as long as you have a 12v rail, this will work wonders.
