Captain Marvel: Genis-Vell By Peter David Omnibus (Captain Marvel: Genis-vell Omnibus) Hardcover – October 10, 2023

This is one of my favorite runs of comics and probably my favorite Peter David run of all-time. The binding is solid, though I think if I read this too many times, we might see some severe wear. On the plus-side, it's so heavy that as I get older, I'll have less and less strength to pick this volume up to read - so I've got that going for me, which is nice.Read this run. It skews funny, despite some absolutely terrible things happening in some of the stories. The artists also lean into that same humor - with copious visual gags and easter eggs on many pages. There will be some dated references - humor comics often fall prey to that - Sally Jesse Raphael jokes, anyone? But as a whole - it's still pretty darned funny and whole-heartedly entertaining.

Was never a fan of Mar-Vell or the current Carol Danvers version of Captain Marvel. To me Genis-Vell and Monica Rambeau where the best Captains. With Genis slightly edging out Monica because of the last half of this run. The first part of this is nothing special just great art and writing, but normal Superhero fair. However the second half is absolutely fantastic.
