Easy and it works!
Perfect! Just needed a cheap short term solution so the blazing sun doesn’t come into my eyes every morning, this worked perfect. The best thing is they give you way more than enough sticky things to hold up the blackout shade, so you don’t need to worry about that at all. Setup was simple and it really does keep out the light. Thank you!

Not one photon enters the room!!!
I’ll start by saying I did not use the included adhesive. I bought cheap double-sided tape (thin regular tape, not museum tape) because I was worried about the gaps the thick circle adhesive would create. I ran that thin tape around the edges and stuck the curtain to that. It works PERFECTLY. It even ended up a bubble because I didn’t think to squeeze the air out. Not one photon enters the room!!! Highly recommend! Not sure how great it is if you want to remove it and reattach but to leave it, it’s great. I’m going to attempt to do each window panel separately to see if you can open them and still get good coverage.

As dark as a cave!
These curtains are perfect to black out a room and then easily remove them. We have a murphy bed in our guest room, so we only need the curtains for when we have guests or if one of us is sick and needs to sleep separately. Our guest room's window faces out onto our condo shared space with a light and an exit sign. The room stays lit if you just shut the blinds. However, when you put up this black out shade (we used the velcro), it's like a cave in the room! They were very easy to cut to size and the velcro is high quality and sticks to the frame (you never notice it when the shade is off). It's very durable, after multiple times being applied and removed. Highly recommend.

Functional and cost effective for windows where appearance doesn't matter
Works well at a reasonable price, with a few reservations. As the instructions say, the product has an "odor" when you first open it. It's made of polyester, but it stinks like a new vinyl roller blind. Eventually it outgasses.Unlike a roller blind, the fabric has creases that probably don't go away. You could probably flatten them with a steam iron on low heat with a layer of cloth between the iron and the curtain, but the instructions don't recommend it.More important, one side is silver to reflect sun. That's OK for back windows and side windows toward the back, especially above air conditioners. My long thermal curtains don't cover the window space above the ACs; the room darkening roller blinds don't block heat; the unlined café curtains above the AC are too short to cover the top window fully and neither reflect sun nor block heat. If you never need to open the curtains to windows with ACs, this product is perfect for those spaces. But in windows facing the street, this curtain is truly ugly. One option is to install it white side out. That would reduce but not eliminate its effectiveness. After all, it's the same material as the liner side of thermal curtains. The creases seem more visible than those in thermal curtains, but maybe I notice them more because they're new. They aren't visible at a distance through a screen, but picture windows with no screen definitely need a different treatment. The thickness doesn't matter. To be functional, the curtain needs an outer layer to reflect sun, inner layers to resist heat and block UV, and a nonreflective inner layer for appearances if you ever draw the curtains back. It only needs enough polyester fabric for an effective blackout. Adding extra plastic just to make it feel sturdier would be wasteful and increase the price. Unless you plan to install it outdoors or pelt it with beanbags, it's durable enough. The round adhesive tabs and Velcro tabs both seem to work well. How long they remain sticky depends on how hot it gets for how long and the material your window frame is made of.I recommend this product for windows that don't face the street and have additional curtains that rarely need to be opened to admit light. For windows that face the street or need to admit light part of the day, they could be cut to fit the roller of a worn-out vinyl roller shade, with white side out, as a cheaper substitute for a proper insulated rolldown blackout shade.

Simple, easy to install, and effective
The media could not be loaded. These probably took me about 30 minutes to install. Measured the skylights, then measured the fabric and cut it a bit larger than the actual size of the Skylight (I made the curtain too big though because I have some extra fabric dangling but I’m just going to trim it later), then I added the sticky dots that the product comes with for installation, and then I added the fabric. The fabric is very thin and simple to cut, simple and effective at prevent preventing the heat and light from getting into the house. I highly recommend it as a temporary seasonal installation. We had a high of 103° today and there is a significant difference in the temperature of the room these were installed in. We are very satisfied!

Blocks light but trap all the heat from the sun. Very flimsy material.
As far as blocking out light, these do the job adequately. BUT they are just a thin vinyl material similar to a cheap shower curtain and while they are completely opaque they also trap in all the heat if you have a south/southwest facing window (it does have a silver colored side that does nothing to reflect sunlight). While we're happy with the light blocking aspect, the temperature in the room has gone up almost unbearably. Not sure I can fully recommend.

Pretty good, even with minimal effort
I will admit that I put very little effort into this. Barely measured when I cut the material and loosely stuck it into place. The kit is well-designed, love that there are several options for applying it to the window. Even with the minimal effort I put in (didn't stick down every edge, accidentally cut one edge thinner than the window, etc.) the light-blocking is much better than any blackout curtain I've ever purchased, which is a miracle because as a night-shift worker I've tried at least 10 different curtain sets over the years and have even doubled up on some that have promised (and not delivered) on the blackout effect. Granted I still have my old blackout curtains up over my less than perfect attempt with this material, but based on how well they work even without me cutting them perfectly and sticking every edge down, I would say these work really really well.
