DMC & BAYANETTA
This game has mainly DMC action and puzzles to get extra Devil fragments and life extensions, also two similar fight action are the buttons for light and heavy plus the mid-air launch, players may/not like it,however seeing this played by gamers on YT, got me itching to give it a go. Now can't stop itching 😉😁

Not very fun
I really wanted to like this game, but I ended up dropping it after 4 hours or so.I love the DMC games, the old GoW trilogy, Dante's Inferno, Ninja Gaiden etc., so I thought I would have a great time with Soulstice, but unfortunately the game is very bland and the combat is repetitive and tedious.Another issue I have with the game is that the default mapping will have you pressing square for heavy attacks and triangle for light. No worries, I'll just switch the 2, I thought to myself. Come to find out later, the game wants you to hold heavy attack + jump for launchers, which means that if you have the heavy attack mapped to the triangle button, like in 99% of videogames ever made, you're now forced to hold triangle + x for launchers, so have fun with that. I ended up switching back to the default mapping, as it's easier to hold square + x, but hated having to use triangle for light attacks. The red/blue colour coded combat that forces you to switch to the corresponding colour for different enemies is poorly implemented, and ends up being tedious and making battles last longer than they should. A similar game that did this a lot better is Castlevania Lords of Shadow. The fixed camera is awful and always gets in the way, and you spend way too much time blocking off-screen attacks from enemies you can't see. The blocking mechanic has you pressing circle whenever a prompt pops up on screen, so you end up having to constantly spam the circle button while doing combos and dodging, as there is no manual block button. You always have to wait/look for the prompt.I tried, I really did, and I wanted to like the game because I love other games in the genre, but there are literal PS2 games that are more fun and enjoyable to play than Soulstice.
