Great for Car Roof Boxes. You can spread the weight of your things in the bags and pull out easily.
Going on holiday I am the bane of my daughter's partner as his idea of travelling light is not mine.It had been decided at home to get a box for on the top of any vehicle used as we'd need one for our short holidays of usually 4 nights because of me.The result of a recent diagnosis of my grandson was they got a mobility car - unfortunately the arrival of the next car arriving at the special car dealers did not have built-in roof bars. A search of the internet found a company that supplied roof bars for the gutterless Ford C-Max and the bars were delivered next day. This all occurred over three or four days before we were due to go on holiday.By a very lucky chance a box was found that was long enough to hold a disabled child's trolley as they are longer than the same folded ordinary child's trolley. As my daughter lives on a very busy main road the new vehicle was taken to a nearby car park so they could access both sides of the vehicle in safety at the same time to fit the new roofbars. Turned out there was a car boot sale on the day they arrived and leaning up against a wall next to one of the stalls was the perfect box, looking almost new at £50. The seller was alone so could not help fix it on the car.It later took two or three men to get the box fixed on to the top of the car roof bars and a folding metal step had to be bought later in order to stand on it to pack the box and lock it and of course be toted around all the time.Hearing about all this over the phone I realised that any luggage to be put in the box needed to be very light before our stuff was packed in it as it had to lifted by outstretched arms as we did not want lots of plastic bags. I am sure I could have bought cheaper folding bags as tugging them out of the box and putting them back would not be a stressful to the bags as being tossed around by airport staff and on safari but I had to find some, order them and get delivered fast. These bags proved to be perfect for our purpose. The longer ones took unworn clothes packed flat in large bin bags, the smaller ones took towels, nightwear and child's unworn clothes. We put 2 long ones and one short one in the box as they could just be dragged out of the box and dropped down to the floor with no damage, along with the disabled trolley (not dropped) leaving the luggage space in the car for the cot / mattress, child's folding little chair and other stuff that was shaped or had sharp edges or was breakable.I have to say that the bags were admirable for the purpose of packing things for which you don't have to worry about breakages and the fact that after arrival you could just fold them up in a drawer till you leave is great. The bags do seem pricy for what they are but I am sure they will last longer than the cheaper versions. Knowing they were to be tugged out of the box on top of the car outside and dropped on the floor I carefully removed one from its built in bag to check the strength of how the handles were sewn on and at my daughter's house checked their two too. They were excellent in this respect but still do this checking before you set out if you buy some, A stitch in time, you know.First trip with the bags in the roof box was to Butlins. At Butlins you park your car and there are luggage trolleys similar to airport trolleys to push your luggage to the apartment or rooms you have booked. These turned out to have V shaped bases great for suitcases but not small bags. We folded the cot mattress and laid it on the V shaped base so things would not fall through on to the floor. As our apartment was quite close to our car park my grandson managed to walk the short distance so we used his trolley to transport one of the long bags. All in all the bags were very successful.Absolutely ideal for cramming in small spaces or around things in your car's luggage space if necessary and of course no sharp corners such as on suitcases etc.We had good weather travelling there and back so no rain got into the box though we had packed the clothes in plastic bags inside the Skypak bags so I can't tell you about rainproofing of the bags. They were light, strong and very suitable for our purpose.I wish the zips had run the length of the bags especially on the smaller size but that may prolong the life of the zips themselves. This review may contain information you don't need but everyone has different purposes in mind and what does not help you may help others.

just the ticket!
I bought this for my husband for Christmas to replace a thirty year old bag which was used on board yachts. This bag is absolutely perfect for light weight travel. It's capacious,so he'll be able to get lots in it. The extra pockets on the outside are a good size and be very useful to hold all sorts of things, it looks smart, and also feels strong, but the biggest advantage is that it's featherweight, ideal for taking in a suitcase to hold all those extra holiday purchases on your return journey! and of course, it folds down to next to nothing, taking up hardly any space at all. Altogether an excellent product at a fair price.

Ideal for light/occasional use
Overall, I am a fan of these bags.I use them primarily for air travel. I have carried everything from light, bulky items (such as bedding, clothes) to large, heavier items (the bag is a perfect size for a baby travel cot). They work best when packed full or close to full. They compress to an incredibly small size, such that you won't notice them in your regular luggage (they will also fit comfortably in a regular size laptop bag). The material is lightweight but robust - it doesn't feel like it would tear easily. Likewise the seams are strong and don't feel like they will come apart. However, the zippers are of poor quality. The pull tabs and/or crowns are flimsy and break too easily (either when you are trying to close a very full bag or when it is being knocked about in transit). In my case, this has resulted in the sliders staying attached to the zippers so the bags are still usable, but it is an inconvenience. If the manufacturer would fit sturdy zips (for the main zip if nothing else), then this would be a five-star product.Complaints about the zip aside, I would recommend these bags (I am about to buy some more to replace the originals which are now in the hands of friends/family members). They are great for occasional air travel and ideal for loading in the boot/roof box when you want to avoid using rigid luggage.

Buy this bag
I absolutely love this bag. We were only able to add an extra 9kg of luggage on our recent trip to Las Vegas (we usually add 23kg for coming home from Florida) and our extra bag had burst from last year so I purchased this one. This bag folds into about the size of a tablet and a couple of inches thick. It went into the suitcase no bother on the way out.Obviously we did a lot of shopping and the bag was great. When opened up it is absolutely huge. The bag isn't rigid so I wouldn't put anything breakable in it. We used it for clothes and shoes. We only managed to fill the bag about halfway and it weighed 10kg. I did put a luggage strap around it but wasn't needed. It was just so we could identify it on the carousel easily. At the airport the bag is heavy to carry but the strap is strong so no worries there. It survived a 10hr flight from Las Vegas to Glasgow and came out the other end looking brand new. It's now folded back up and in the suitcase waiting for next year when I can't wait to completely fill it with shopping. I have no doubt it will do the job again, I might even buy another one to give to my mum,

Very useful bag
It is a second one of Skypack 90L I bought because I lent it to my father and liked it so much that I gave him my first one. He uses it for carrying things for his golfing trip.It folds up neatly and easily into itself, so it is very easy to tidy it away when it is not in use. The material, despite being light-weight, is extremely sturdy and even rough handling by airlines has not caused any damage. The capacity is rather high, being about the same as a large-ish suitcase. But being able to fold it up neatly also means it is great to keep in the suitcase as a backup bag.If you are weight-restricted for airline checked baggage, it will also be useful as it's lightweight yet high capacity. It's a very good bag with sturdy zips and sturdy material. So much so that I also bought a red one.
