Q: Does this kill common Yarrow??

No autumn lawn has no weedkiller, this time of year use a selective lawn weedkiller as more effective not weather is cooler

Q: How long after putting it down can you water it in? An hour later? Next day?

Full instructions are on the box. Personally I have applied 2 applications 6 weeks apart. The first it rained within 24 hours and it worked perfectly. Second application raining within an hour and everything was fine. Do not leave it for an extended period without moisture. However no problem this time of year with heavy dew.

Q: I cut my lawn and then, in a senior moment, applied this the day after. should i be worried? if so is there anything i can do to mitigate the effect

There will be no problem. The instructions say to wait 3 days after cutting just to let the grass grow a little. Just water it in.

Q: I have just laid a new lawn should I wait until autumn to apply this?

Yes. This may well be too harsh and damage the roots and new grass - give it the summer to bed in. Ensure watering daily when warm and dry at sunset during summer.
