The smell is reminiscent of honey, as you might expect, but wasn't at all overpowering. The tube was bigger than expected and will last for ages as a little goes a long way. It was effective on patches of dry skin and didn't leave a greasy residue, it's good to know that it is made of lovely natural ingredients and it is safe for baby's skin. Along with cutting out normal detergent washing powder and replacing with ecoleaf and porridge baths the burts bees range of baby oil and lotion has almost cured his eczema. It smells delicious too! He's a year old now and only has a couple of small patches behind his knees but I manage this with the lotion and the burts bees nappy cream. Whilst it is a little more expensive than other creams it is definity worth the premium. My dd loves it. She literally dances around chanting ‘burts bees’. I applied it to her skin on the evening and by morning the dryness has disappeared. There was no tantrum on application. It rubbed in smoothly and quickly without leaving a greasy trail.
