These weather proof lights are just perfect for lighting up features in my garden beds. They are really well made and are excellent quality. I absolutely recommend them.

Bought to fit under my pergola and teamed with 1.5w GU10 bulbs to provide a gentle light in the evening. Good overall item but mounting them onto one of the wooden beams was difficult as the holes that accept the screws which hold the lights to the supplied brackets don't seem to have a clean thread and it was difficult to screw them in by hand even before the point where they would have become finger tight. I'm also going to add a blob of clear sealant to the nut at the back of the units where the cable enters the body of the light, just as a precaution to stop any possible ingress of rain. Bit difficult twisting one of the bulbs into the holder but it's better too tight than too slack. Full 2m of cable supplied ready attached which made the job of wiring them into an IP68 connector easier. When these 4 lights came i was aware that they didn't have bulbs included but i didn't know that they came without plugs (a slight hinderence).But i went to Wilkos and bought 4 5amp 3point flat pins plugs at a £1 each and all was good.After seeing so many people mention that their alleged 2mtre cable was only 1 metre i was happily surprised to find all of mine was a full 2 metres (minimum).It took just a couple of minutes to connect the bulbs (additional order) and the plugs.And the 6 watt bulbs were extremely bright.I was just trying some positions of them and i had a big blind spot for well over an hour !And the light is so wide that they aren't really spotlights as such.As lighting goes, these are extremely sturdy and i am very confident that they will prove to be robust. The cable is very strong and heavy too.I cannot make a judgement for reliability but i am so chuffed with these lights that i will give them an immediate 10/10.And as they are led, i can easily either cover some of the glass to make the spotlight more circular searchlight style or use a kitchen roll tube to gain that effect (i am ising them for halloween spotlights on dummies).Excellent purchase and item so far.And i didn't get them at any type of discount or promotional manner for an "honest" review.I bought these solely as an everyday customer and i will be buying 2 or more in the next 24 hours (as soon as i know exactly how many i need).Cheers

No bulbs in these so haven't scored brightness. But these are simple and sturdy lights. My only negative is the cable is a little short. I bought an extra 1 light from B and q because I needed one more and that wasn't much more expensive than these and it came with a bulb and a slightly longer lead. That said, I prefer the shorter bracket on the amazon ones than the B and q one. So still happy with these.

I liked the look of these spotlights for my garden and now they are wired in and working they are amazing. Really pleased. Easy to assemble and very reasonable.

Good bit of kit but difficult to fit or remove the lamps

I bought these fantastic lights after first buying some low voltage lights which were terrible quality so I sent them back. These lights are in a completely different class being constructed out of good quality thick metal with strong metal spikes. You can use standard mains GU10 LED bulbs in them which give a really powerful light, much better than most of the low voltage lights out there (bulbs are not included). The other advantage is in a big garden there is little or no voltage drop compared to low voltage lights so you can reach much longer distances. I used waterproof (IP66) 3 way junction boxes to connect the lights to 3-core 1.5mm flexible cable rated for outdoor use. You do have to use a bit of common sense when connecting up mains lights and make sure the cable isn't going to get chopped through, and obviously isolate the lights from the mains voltage if you want to do any work on them such as adding additional lights and they should be connected to an RCD protected circuit.
