Frisk66020400 Pastel Fixative 400ml (Can)

Very hoot works treat. It smells a bit like hairspray but stronger. I use it outside. It’s colourless and I think a bit expensive but it does last.

I use this for charcol, pastel, soft pencil and for generally fixing work and it works well. It does not damage the colour or hue or leave taints and spotting. It will *slightly* change the finish but will save your work and stop smudging. Have been using frisk for over 8 years since I was 15

The fixative is a fine spray but his dries leaving a good surface so you can add other embellishments to your pastel picture. It not only seals the pastels from smudging but allows you to add other media such as acrylics to the surface of your picture. I'm finding it useful for Christmas cards. Would recommend.

I bought this fixative to spray on my pastel paintings. Without it they are very difficult to store, even in plastic sleeves, as inevitably the pastels turn to dust and drop off. I was a little worried that the fixative may alter the colours of the pastels or leave a shine, but I needn't have worried. I took before and after photographs of my artwork and I am pleased to report there was no obvious difference after using the fixative.Did it work? Well it does help to fix the pastels, although if you rub the picture I found there was still some pastel colour on my fingers. But it is better than not using it, so I am happy.Be sure to use in a well ventilated room.

Does what it says. Used to set oil pastels to prevent smudging and works but takes several coats

Works very well on oil pastels, no discolouration. Would recommend..

pastel fixative is grate for your pastel painting but after you have sprayed it on your paintng you will strouggle to reply pastels if you think you need to had morebut it dose the job as it should do
