Most Cost Effective Purchase with Great Results
This is the best lawnmower I have ever bought. The instructions do not have enough detail; however, if you read the manual in conjunction with the diagrams, it’s quite easy to put together. Once you have set your cutting length and the height of the collection box, then it’s a case of just going out and mowing the lawn. It is easier to manoeuvre than swinging a heavy weight about like some of the electrical mowers, and there is no electrical cable in the way. My lawn is a new lawn so I had it set at the maximum level. I am delighted with the results. Should you purchase this lawnmower, please read the instructions carefully, because that matters when you put it together.

Overall pretty good
Seems decent. I have an average sized lawn that is pretty uneven and this cut the grass quite well. Good range of cut heights. Make sure you adjust the blades if having trouble withe grass jamming - you need to hear the sound of metal rubbing metal when pushing (scissor sound). Easy to do when setting up initially. Watch out if you have a hedge as small pieces of hedge wood will jam it up. Also, the capture bin isn't the best capacity wise or at retaining the cuts - buy a rake!

surprisingly good light manual mower
Reasonably easy to assemble, adjustable for bumpy, average or smooth lawns (only needed once), adjustable height of cut, nice sharp cut grass edges for smooth finish. The rigid plastic grass box is light and can be removed easily for emptying by lifting straight up (i.e. without tipping it over the machine as other reviews have stated). Reasonably quiet in use after first adjusting the blades which was easy to do (tried using it as delivered but it was incredibly noisy and hard to push so the cylinder blades were obviously too tight to the bottom fixed blade). It does leave a swathe of uncut grass of course around the edges of the lawn if you cut parallel to the lawn edge due to the wheels being outboard of the cylinder, so if that's a problem for your lawn then you'll need a strimmer as well or try to cut perpendicular to the lawn edge or have a lawn edged in say bricks for the wheels.Overall very happy for the money, it doesn't produce stripes on our lawn due the grass not being particularly fine but not a problem for us as we're used to a rotary petrol mower without a roller anyway.Much lighter than our old petrol mower to push and carry and quieter/cheaper to run. Will be interesting to see how it copes with the first cut of the season next spring.

Lightweight and great for short grass
Lightweight, manual mower. Perfect for my small lawn. Keep on top of it. Quick cut once or twice a week and you will have no problems. If you do, you can forego the bucket now and again to let clippings sit on lawn and let it revitalise the grass. If you have long grass, cut it with something else initially then grab one of these and stay on top of it.

There's something good about using a push mower
Additional report 2018, after one year of ownership.See below for my initial supportive but honest review from last year. The push mower will always have limitations as I have outlined below.Bosch, what have you done designing and selling this product ?I have only needed to use the mower 5 times this year, due to the really dry summer and brown lawn.It simply cannot cope with anything other than short, dry grass - so don't waste your money. It does not deliver the grass to the box unless you are moving fast and it is cutting short dry grass, so don't waste your effort. It does not work to within 10 cm of any edges, so I have had to buy a strimmer to do these, so don't waste your money or your time.I have recently tried to cut the grass that was of medium length and whilst not damp, the luscious lawn meant the mower simply couldn't cope, so don't raise your expectations. The right drive wheel stopped driving the blades.I contacted Amazon, who put me onto Bosch. I sent the mower back to Bosch service centre. It cannot be repaired, only replaced. They will only send me another of the same model, despite my repeated requests not to bother and to put the value of this against a different product. The customer service has always been delayed and I can only say, dismal in any efforts to consider my requests and suggestions about design faults.Do not bother with this product. It is a waste.I apologise if my first review in any way influenced another buyer to purchase one of these products.Initial review 2017There's something good about using a push mower, instead of a powered one.It feels like you a doing the job the right way. But, it doesn't suck up leaves and cuttings the way a hover mower does, it doesn't reach to the edges of the lawn, so more effort needed trimming the edges by hand, it only droves from the right wheel, so if that wheel slips off the side of the lawn or onto a path, the blades don't rotate, so you need to come back in the other direction. But these were always the limitations for a push mower. This Bosch product is light but sturdy, really well made, really simple to put together and for only £50, I think it's a bargain and won't be going back to a powered mower again, as it is more that capable of managing a 15 x 10 metre lawn
