Spirit Sports Foam Training Nunchaku Cord

When my son asked if he could learn how to use nunchucks I instantly remembered my kung fu days and considered that I would like to spare him the sore elbows and clonks on the head I got from wooden ones as a beginner.This training pair is ideal, they are full size and weighted well enough to keep some momentum going. The cord is of good quality and is well attached. The outer sheath is a thick high density foam which doesnt fall apart easily wih normal use, but would no doubt tear if you were to repeatedly strike a training bag or something.The gold dragon print comes off within a day or two but thats just asthetics.Overall I am very pleased with them and thought they were excellent value.I would recommend the cord version over the chain for the novice as they are quieter and dont pinch the skin as much.

Bought for a 6 year old who was obsessed and would not stop talking at me about Nunchucks.Perfect really. Nice and soft, but still enough weight in them.Actually quite surprised with the quality for the price.I see some people complaining about the string tie instead of chain.To me, and my over excited hyper active heavy handed 6 year old, the build quality seems great. I can see these lasting longer than his interest in them.

Good for practise. Sadly, I'm no harder than I was before I bought them, and I still don't have a six-pack. Well made. Still hurt when hit with them, so I'm told

I bought this so I could learn Nunchaku thinking that I'd hurt myself with a proper wooden set. These while well made and are what they are (maybe good for kids to play with), they have no resemblance to practicing with real ones. The weighting is totally different and therefore I found it hard to use the weight for spins etc. I used these once then bought a proper wooden pair and already seeing the difference. Product seems good, but if you want to learn, start with the proper tools as it will help you learn faster.

I've been using Nunchucks for 15 years now. I have the need for foam/corded ones for indoor practice.These are well made, good cord (will erode over time as they all do) but well fixed, single loop double tied inside the chuck, not glued in. Capped at both ends.Great for practice.

I love these - exactly what I was looking for. My 2 little guys (age 3 & 5) are budding "ninjas". These are really good quality but made of foam & soft enough for them to swing around but not hurt themselves (or me ;)). Thanks a lot.

Well built chucks and a decent price.Handy for practicing new moves before hitting the woods.They are a good weight and very durable, I fling them around hard and they stay solid.Recommended buy for practicing and general flinging about.
