MEDISURE STEAM Inhaler Cup

Seems to me that the people who have given this any less than 4 stars really do not know how an inhaler works.For one thing if it burns your mouth then the water is too hot and it is not suppose to steam out of the hole as it creates steam internally and you gently breath it in from the container.Some people have given this one star but really they have no clue how these work so you should disregard any less than 4 star as in my opinion this is worth a lot more than 5 stars for me.I have has such a bad bout of cold/flu for the past 2 weeks and I saw these on Amazon and went ahead and purchased one. I am so darn glad I did because I for one cannot fault it. I have a large jar of menthol crystals here I have been using with a bowl and hot water and a towel over my head. When I received this today I got straight about it and tried it out and OMG! it works so good with water about 80 Centigrade (enough to give steam in the chamber) and breath gently and without the menthol making you cry (tears).I think I put in a bit too much menthol crystal as the crystals are very very strong and much better than the silly overpriced bottles of oil.I would always advise the crystals and not the oil as the oil is a total rip off and anyway you can make your own oil if you study google and YouTube.This is very well made and maybe some of you have been putting the mask on upside down. I find there is nothing to complain about and it certainly works for me and my advise is to ignore the bad reviews as they don't have a clue what to do with it.I also notice one lady still used the granny way with a towel over her head as well as this so why on earth did she buy one if she still uses a towel over her head,,,, they do make me smile as there is no need for a towel over your head if you use this correctly.Just put in enough hot water to halfway or even 2/3 full but no more.I use one of those one cup boil kettles and these never boil the water but is about 80c (good for coffee) and just right for this.Don't put a towel over your head and use the mouth piece the correct way as to cover your nose and then you will not get any in your eyes.Menthol crystals are very strong so do not rub your eyes at all after touching these.Best way is to put maybe one crystal (about half inch long) and them wash your hands before adding the hot water.If you find that one crystal is not enough then add another but please wash your hands before you try again or don;t ket your fingers go anywhere near your eyes as it darn well stings and I know :-)Breath in small amounts for starters and then maybe more as you go but don't take a deep breath in yet before you get the dosage correct.I don't bother with the overpriced rip off oils and I always use menthol to clear my head and nose.For the price of this it is well worth it.

Bought this on the advice of my sister. Only one word for it - brilliant!! I’ve had a bad cough and bunged up head for well over a week; being able to use this has really helped clear my head and loosen my chesty cough. So easy to use compared to my usual bowl of boiling water and a towel over my head - then steaming my whole face. (This latter method always feels a bit dangerous to me too).

Bought then delivered next day with prime. The product is utterly useless. There's no lid in the box, meaning it literally doesn't work. There's no way to return it ('we don't allow returns') and no way of contacting the company.

Useful part of any first aid kit just in time for winter - hope I don't need to use it this year as I've stocked up on everything I can think of to prevent colds and flu but just in case, I'm now well prepared.

I have seen some bad reviews about this product, but I am still rating this product as five star. If you do the following it really works. On first use wash the whole product in warm water, fill with hit water, but stop the kettle just before it starts to boil then put in your essential oils. Mine are cedarwood (two drops) and tea tree oil (one drop). Put the mask up to your nose area the mask is very smooth and gentle Although it has two holes one on either side of the mask, I use a small towel to put over my head and around my sholders to keep the steam in. I keep this on my nose area for 15 mins. Once the timer has finished I can actually breathe properly as I suffer from very bad hayfever and sinusitus. This is also very good if you have asthma.

Not that great really. Pretty cheap you get what you pay for

I had been given steroid nasal spray, but this is far less invasive..it is compact for storage.i added olbas oil..and was able to breathe in the vapour. deeply and seemed to clear my sinuses more easily than the spray.

This seems to work well, my husband had a cough he couldn't shift and this helped, it fits reasonably well around the nose and mouth, and it works well with a few drops of Olbas oil or menthol drops. Very cheap price so good value
