Bought for a gift for a 3 year old. Also enjoyed by their 5 year old sibling. Nice chunky beads (not fiddly), easy to attach to the string to complete a bright, colourful necklaces. Good quality pieces, good value for money.

I bought this as a present for a 4 year old girl and it does not disappoint. The set is very well presented in a wooden tray with all the bead beautifully laid out and organised by type, and nicely packaged. I like this particular range of Melissa & Doug bead sets so much that after my daughter received 2 as presents for her 4th birthday, they have become a default purchase for her girlfriends' birthdays too.A great value for money, creative and tasteful. Having made several sets of necklaces and bracelets from my daughter's sets, I have been very impressed with the quality of the individual beads, thread and fastenings. They have provided hours of fun too.

Lovely quality and colours really catch the eye of the user. Bought for our granddaughter aged 3.5 years, wanted to help with her concentration and dexterity which it certainly did she managed to thread beads on the string by herself and she loved the colours and different shapes of the beads. It was worth the price and the quality was good I would buy again as a gift for a child. Only downside to this product is that although it comes on a lovely wooden tray the compartments are just plastic and the lid is too so not very good for storage as they fall out.

Beautiful gift. Bought for my daughter on prime day so was good value. It’s for Xmas so not opened yet but looks like it’ll be a lot of fun. The beads are bigger than expected so perfect as a first set

You can always rely on Melissa & Doug products to be fab and this is no exception, my girls love making necklaces and bracelets, the wooden beads are lovely and they’re so easy to make.The holes are actually big enough to thread the cord through unlike some (other branded) sets we’ve had, and the fastener is easy to attach, the necklace stays on when it’s clipped but opens if it’s pulled etc so it’s safe for littlies.It’s also presented very nicely so would make a nice gift. I’d 100% recommend.

Lovely set. Beads come in a variety of shapes and colours, and nicely finished and of good quality. Bought as a present for my 3 year old daughters birthday. She loved it and spent a good half hour making a necklace (with supervision). Really nice activity to do with her. Think this offers really value for money, as enough beads and strings to make 8 necklaces, which can be undone, and taken apart to start over again. Really pleased with this, and would recommend. Would make a lovely gift. Only downside is that the tray doesn't come with a lid, so storage will be tricky.

Good quality, colourful beads with plenty of separate strings included, so multiple creations can be made. The ends of the strings have a long (around an inch) coated ridged section so they are easy for little hands to push through the beads. The storage box is a disappointment though, as the lid is a flimsy sheet of plastic that doesn’t retain the contents securely. We now store the beads in a separate plastic compartment sorter box and have repurposed the supplied wooden box.
