Yu Yu Hakusho - 30th Anniversary Box Set [Blu-ray]

the collection every fan should own.artwork is incredible. box was immaculate.The ONLY downside is that the exclusive movie is not included in this set but otherwise, a complete collection.the greatest anime ever.

Im assuming that if youre thinking about picking up this awesome set, then you already know how incredible and influential this show is. I watch this series at least once a year and every single time it gets me pumped, emotional, and just plain happy. Im biased a bit because it was my first anime, but even so its one of the best ever made. If you havent seen it yet, then dive in and enjoy the ride. As for the set itself, Its a great collection. The box is sturdy cardboard and doesnt feel flimsy and each case contains 4 blu rays that snap in and arent one of those garbage slip case setups (although i have noticed that the discs dont always stay snapped in perfectly, its a blu ray tho so you dont have to worry about it getting all scratched up not to mention there isnt much room for it to wiggle around) The art work on the cases and box is great and it seems like they actually put some effort into this set for its 30th. You get every episode, the OVAs that im sure most people have never seen and to my surprise each case even has a special feature. Its nothing amazing but still nice to have a 20 minute talk with the VA cast and other little add-ons that were made just for this set. Only thing missing is the Poltergeist report movie, but i doubt well ever get that considering its a different dub and i dont believe Funimation has the rights to it. Last thing ill mention is, if youve only ever seen this on dvd or tv then prepared to blown away by how good it looks. Its LEAGUES ahead of the quality on the other formats, the animation is so clean and i cant imagine it will ever look better than this. So if youre still reading all this and are unsure if you should buy it then i say YES go for it 100% its exactly what you would want from an anniversary edition. That being said, if you already own the separate blu ray box sets then i doubt you need to buy this unless youre a hardcore fan. Yuyu will always be an all timer for me and i cant recommend it enough to new and returning fans. (Also, watch the english dub with subtitles on. Its fun seeing how different certain parts of the script are when it was redone for American audiences. Theres a lot more changes than you would think) BUY IT!

I recently watched this all as an adult and I was unable to put it down. This show was produced masterfully, not having any unnecessary filler that plagued many of the other great animes during the Golden Age. This show is a true journey, one that will get you hype, make you laugh, and most definitely make you cry with how beautiful and emotional the messages are throughout. Highly recommend for old and new anime watchers!

As a kid back in the late 90's, one of the first introduction to anime I've experienced after Dragon ball Z, came Yu Yu Hakusho. An anime that presents a great storyline with amazing arcs that not many animes can't compare. I know it sounds a little biased, but the tournament arc was the greatest in my opinion compared to other tournament arcs, and to think It couldn't get any better, the next saga after the tournament, The Black arc, was also amazing in its own right! I swear, this anime feels underrated to many, sure, I like DBZ as much as the next guy, but Yu Yu Hakusho just hits a whole different perspective outside of so many transformations, flying, ki blasts and I know many could agree with that statement. An anime that deserves so much attention from the community, a masterpiece that will live among us. This box set came in great condition with a really nice art and other extra features, highly recommended. 👍 Watching this in blue-ray is phenomenal, so crisp and clear. ❤️

Yu Yu Hakusho has never looked better. Crystal clear blu-ray in 4:3 aspect ratio.This is when anime was at its best.This is the classic story of a high school deliquent who gives his life to save a boy. Only to find out that he survived...as a ghost.👻😭 Now, Yusuke Urameshi must return to the land of the living by any means necessary. Usually by beating up bad guys. 🧑🏻👊When this box set went on sale for 60 dollars, I knew it had to be mine. 🤑The dub is really good. Also, that intro music in english is soooo good. In fact the whole soundtrack is 🔥🔥🔥Watch some episodes and you'll be like...🎶THANK YOU FOR WAKING ME UUUUUUUUP 🗣🕺💃🎸🎹5/5

If you're looking at a decades old anime box set on Amazon, I assume you already know what this is, so I won't dig too deep into the quality of the show itself.As for the box set, its beautiful! A nice glossy silver finish on the box makes it stand out on my shelf, and the art on each individual box is also super pretty. Having been a YuYu fan for many many years, it is very exciting to finally have everything in one high quality box.Now I think the bigger draw for this here is the unreleased OVAs. As far as I'm aware, only a few of the OVAs included in this set are available to (legally) stream anywhere else, so anything new and YuYu is a huge bonus for fans.Overall, 100% worth the price and looks really great on a shelf.

Discs were not in their slots secured and were loose on arrival otherwise thisd would be a five star review.
