Servers via home hub intermittent. Not ideal when that's what you paid the premium for; to keep your prized posessions safe from flames when you're away. Better off getting apple's homepod mini, and a cheaper (but still reliable) smoke detector. If it triggers, homepod can let you know instantly. Plus it has siri and other integrations etc- this is just a smoke detector locked into Bosch's limited ecosystem. Apple's, sure, it's also locked in an ecosystem, but much wider. Heck- you can (in theory) add these to apple's system as well, but the servers were down for me far too much for it to be viable.

This is not a standalone unit. Requires a bespoke Bosch controller for only Bosch items. In this day and age, if integrated units, there is a hidden cost and rigid system design.Despite being a prime buyer, it has been a few days, and I am still awaiting a refund on return and not going to be keen to buy Amazon warehouse items again.

Does not interlink, does not work with the app (unless you also purchase a controller)
Very disappointed.Bought 2 of those (returns). Replaced the existing FireAngel hardwired, linked smoked alarms after a new refurbishment. And paid £40 to electrician to do that...Thinking Bosch will look nicer (smaller), in the future can be connected to the Bosch security system (when budget allows) and can be interlinked.Turns out they don’t link (at least nothing in the instructions saying that) - so it won’t pass the Building Control regulation. They are also on battery (10y).I tried to connect to them via the Bosch app: scanned the QR code as per installation instruction’s 3 steps: The app says “this is not a Bosch Smart Home Controller” - so it turns out you need £200 controller on top, for them to work with the app (then maybe/hopefully they will link, though doubt that). Basically the only thing missing in the app is a direct link to purchase the controller.

You need the hub before it works with Apple Home
Advertisement indicated the the alarm works with Apple Home Kit but to do so you need to buy the Bosch hub. I now have a very expensive smoke alarm that doesn’t work as advertised unless I buy the expensive Bosch hub. This is a disgrace.

Faulty Battery
It just arrived I wanted to install it and one of them it is making the noise and red light every 40 seconds and I looked in the manual and it means it does not have battery ! Very upset client . I was not expecting that from Bosch . How can I do to contact customer service ? I want a refund of another one to replace this faulty one
