After suffering from lower back pain for several years whilst either sitting at my study desk or in the car I ended up in an NHS physiotherapy department...they gave me some helpful exercises and also recommended a lumbar support cushion. I immediately went online and read the reviews of several cushions available through Amazon. I decided to go with the Supportiback D shape lumbar cushion as the reviews seemed to be overwhelmingly positive and many of the testimonials of happy people described my kind of back pain. Although the product was not the cheapest I decided I wanted something that would be of high quality and help bring pain relief. Once ordered the cushion came the next day, it was exactly as described on Amazon and I immediately tried it in my study chair...felt great! I then placed the cushion in my car and drove to Birmingham...what a difference! I was really pleased with the results...was it a miracle cure? No! But the cushion has really made a big difference and I’m not feeling so much pain as I used to feel when getting up from my study chair or climbing out of my car...thank you Supportiback for an excellent and helpful product at a reasonable cost.

Very comfortable, lots of uses, good pain relief

After trying many different and fancy back supports for my sciatica, this one has proven to be the best for my work chair, I will not be without it now. I can sit all day and actually sit back instead of being perched on the edge of my chair!

I am tall but slight of build and I suffer from terrible skeletal pain. This has proved to be reasonably effective for pain relief inside my home, where I can fidget about until it is comfy. However I really wanted this for my car but it is too big and bulky, exceptionally firm - if that is what you require then that's great. I need something with a softer cushion as it pushes me too far forward. Though I hasten to add that I am already on top of a car Support Seat. You may well find that this extremely well priced Lumbar Roll is okay by itself. Good quality with a removable velvet cover. Was pleased with my purchase but not for driving. Back pain? Maybe give it a try? Good Luck, I decided to return mine as it became too uncomfortable. Uncomfortable for a skinny person, probably ideal for a larger person seeking good firm support.

Squishes down to about 0.5cm when in use so what’s the point. I bought this to replace my official McKenzie cushion I lost after 8 years of use. They are brilliant but cost £60 now so gave this a try, it’s rubbish and does nothing for my back.

The sponge is soft and comfortable for resting your back. The product is too flimsy and doesn't offer much support. Keeps slipping because the elastic band stretches away. Becomes .oThe band is too small for the weight of the back rest so it keeps flipping over, becomIng more of a chair cushion rather than lumbar support. The sponge shifts inside the covering requiring constant realignment. Not a very good buy I would say. Good idea but more work required for this prototype to be developed into a useful product.

I bought this to assist with my lower back problem, after reading a book by Robin McKenzie "Treat your own back". After looking for a good quality item, i found this one. Again reading reviews takes your part way there. I am a bus driver with the usual naff driver seat. It does fit with the extension that you get with the item. Used it now for a few weeks, and it does a good job. the cover moves around that you have to move back, as it has dimples to assist with the non movement of the cover, but i guess that it to be expected as i move around the seat stop after stop. Maybe in car, this would not be an issue. I do find that the item is not quite wide enough. Could do with a maybe 3 inches (75mm) more in total length. Otherwise a good investment.
