Perfect
Exactly what we need. Fits perfectly and easy to use. Holds the strings.

Easy to use
Works well and easy to use. Well made although the plastic construction does not feel as sturdy as the aluminium used on the equivalent capo for my steel string guitar.

Great quality, security and confidence from a giant of the guitar industry. Totally recommend.
As a guitarist and teacher, I have gone through so many capos in the past. From the very expensive to the really cheap. I have always been a massive fan of D'Addario and have appreciated their constant drive to find solutions for guitarists in all areas of playing. This is very evident here too, I am delighted to say. The capo fits comfortably, securely and evenly across all strings. It instills a confidence that you need when moving it in all positions on the guitar. By turning the screw/knob to a finger tight pressure it will apply just the required force onto the fret and strings with causing stress to the neck. The additional fact that it is very lightweight and robust came as a pleasant surprise to me. i was so impressed with the quality at the price, that I made it my first recommendation to all students, and bought myself spares for every guitar I own. Strongly recommend!!

Makes D string buzz
I bought this capo specifically as it was advertised as being for classical guitars. However, when positioned on frets 2 &3 (most common capo positions), the D string would always buzz. I have two classical guitars and it happened on both. I have subsequently bought a different capo which works just fine on both guitars. I know of D'darrio because I use their strings so thought they would make a good product. Hard to imagine I could have a duff one as it is a very simple piece of kit so assume the design is flawed, very disappointed. Been playing guitar for 20 years and used lots of capos so know it isn't user error.

Convenient, easy to use
I am a faithful user of Schubb but I lost it again, and this is a cheaper alternative. Very nice to use, and can be left on the guitar while in its case.

Not enough tension on my strings
For my Yamaha Pacifica, I can only get enough tension if I position in an awkward position where the capo "pinches" the neck. Probably best for guitars with thicker necks.

Doesn’t clamp right enough on my Alvarez classical.
I have two of the steel string versions. Which are great. So I bought this for my new classical guitar. Sadly it doesn’t clamp the neck tight enough, consequently the stings buzz.

Deceptively simple design, great build quality
Very happy with it, fits my big classical perfectly, is very well made from good materials and adjustable rather than one size fits all. Would recommend.
