Did the job. Easy to assemble. Trimmed the bushes and trees in the garden with ease and on a single charge. Easy to hold and move around. I used the battery I had from another B&D item. I love the fact the battery can be used across their whole range.

This is a great bit of kit. Pretty good value I reckon for what it is. Fairly lightweight, although after a while of holding it up trimming hedges of course your arms start to get tired - my recommendation is to take a break because a couple of times I nearly started chopping into myself as my arms got a bit lazy and I lost concentration! Battery seems to last well enough for what I was doing - which was just tidying up an average sized garden with quite a few unruly bushes. No idea how long I was using it for because of course it was intermittent between using this and using some loppers, raking up the mess, going back to hedge trimming, etc. etc. However, it didn't run out of juice for what I needed so I'm happy with that. It's also not too noisy and cuts through hedges, etc. nicely. Glad I bought this - a big old petrol one would have been over the top for what I need (as well as smelly and a nuisance to fill up).

Does the job, but battery life is not brilliant so be sure to buy two Batteries and have them Both charged.

Very pleased with this as an alternative to a corded hedge trimmer. It is nicely balanced and lightweight which is a real plus when having to cut the tops of our two hedges up on a ladder. It has a shorter blade length but is easier to handle. It has sharp blades and the slow pulse option coped with thicker branches of fir tree. Vverybpressef with the battery life, one fully charged battery cut approx 45 foot of conifer hedging 6 foot high.

I am extremely pleased with this hedge trimmer. For its size it is powerful and the battery life is good. It's not super lightweight, but I would not expect a trimmer of this size to be.I did not read the description carefully and it clearly states that this trimmer does to come with a battery or charger - it is simply the main unit. I was unable to source the battery on Amazon so this slowed things down somewhat but, overall, not a problem as I am now very happy with this tool.Overall, a high quality product for the money which I am very happy to recommend.

ok but feels like it needs more power. maybe I chose the wrong tool for some jobs ?

I really like this. So portable with the battery. I had a corded one previously and after cutting the cord several times and patching it up with tape I thought maybe that's a bit of an H&S problem going forward! But just as important you can wander anywhere with this freely. Pick it up and go, no faffing around with wires and extensions.The key question is the battery. I had no issues as I was just cutting minor branches here and there. For large hedges and going at it for some time I just don't know. I guess check out other reviews for that but I'm happy for my needs.
