Wow. As you can see from the photo, I have a large bunion.As my big toe collapses to the right when I walk most of the pressure goes on the side of the toe and he skin there is hard and sore always.I have tried every kind of protector going, but this one is by far the best!The toe cover is a super soft stretchy silicone. It fits like a glove over the toe. OMG, it's like walking on air! I did not realise how painful my big toe actually was until suddenly I can walk with no pain. My toe now has a lovely soft pad to sit on.I can not recommend this enough. I did read the reviews prior to purchase and some people say that these can split. I did a hike this week and it was as good as new after. I wore it all day at work today with my Docs and my toe was comfortable all day.I will update this review if I experience any negatives, but absolutely thrilled with these so far. Even if I had to replace them monthly, they would still be worth every penny. Going to order more in the smaller size for my dodgy second toe too.

Very pleased with these, just what I needed following an injury to my big toe which caused me to lose the toe nail. The exposed skin was very tender. When the nail started to grow back the first few millimetres were very rough and jagged which would catch on my socks. As it was winter I didn’t want to wear sandals so bought these. I purchased the large size (I would buy small if needed for other toes), they are an excellent fit across my toe but slightly long so trimmed a small amount off the length, easy to do with scissors. Within a few moments of putting on I am unaware of wearing it, my toe is dry not sweaty or smelly when I take it off, the protector is easy to clean I just wash with liquid hand soap and dry on a towel. I have worn it with sandals for protection it stays on and doesn’t slip. They are hard wearing, I bought two packs but have only opened one as the two from the first pack are still in excellent condition. My nail has now nearly reached full length and the lower two thirds which has grown back since I’ve had these protectors is healthy pink shiny nail!

I have had major problems from the wrong size shoes and socks, and from walking too much I had my toe nails go black and fall off because of it. Every time I would go walking, even with bigger socks/shoes, I would have problems on these 2 toes, so I decided to look for ways to help. I found these and, to my surprise they really are simple and work nicely and now I have no issues with walking.

If you have a blister , or anything like that I can see it rubbing but it does give you padding around your toe , however my toe was too sentive to this and it really caused discomfort through the day or even at night , I would go to bed with this and wear socks as otherwise it will rub on to your quilt.Getting it on can also be quite painful! But I can see why there is positives to wearing it but it just wasn’t for me.

Been using these for a couple of years now. They are by far the best ones I have bought.However the last ones were a lot smaller that the ones I have had before and ripped the first day I used them. I always order the L/XLOrdered some more, but if they are the same, I'm afraid I won't be buying anymore.Update:The pair I ordered have arrived and they are the same as the last ones.They have chopped off around half the length and the new ones only just cover my toenail... the previouse ones covered my whole toe.I've reduced the star rating to one and will not be buying anymore. Such a shame.
