Best Alternative to KFC
Been using this product for a good year now and tried other brands but kepts coming back to this brand, it's on the salty side so make sure to just add some Old Bay Seasoning or Paprika to counter it out. It's even very tasty without the added seasoning!Makes perfectly crispy food and had that flakey tendency that kfc used to have time ago before it became soggy and oilyWill keep buying the same stuff aslong it doesn't change it's recipe 10/10

It’s ok’ish
I wouldn’t say it tastes like KFC exactly. It tastes ok but it’s quite salty.

TEA TIMES GOT BETTER
This is first one of this for my Cosori Airfryer. It was recommended and its brilliant. Tastes just as good as KFC but now will use these saving quite a lot. Also as my partner only likes chicken breast he's happy which makes me happy too!!! IT arrived quicker than expected, good flavour and less fattening with all of the flavour😊 I tried it again and added a little smoked paprika and 🌶 powder it was really tasty and it gives a little bit more kick. Will buy again its best one I've tried!!

Very tasty and easy to use
Very tasty, I thought it was a bit salty, but Hubs didn’t. I think when I do it next time I will add some breadcrumbs to give it a bit more crunch. Very easy to use and cooked perfectly in the air fryer. At least I know it’s good quality chicken that we are eating. I did breast strips and put in a wrap. Next time I’m going to do drumsticks and thighs.

Great for an air fryer 😋
So easy to use, the nearest I've come to KFC in a pre bought mix (my own mix is exactly like KFC). For perfect chicken marinade in buttermilk for a few hours or overnight in the fridge. If you can't get buttermilk just add a tablespoon of vinegar to a cup of skimmed or semi skimmed milk. Coat the chicken liberally in the mix, making sure you cover the chicken thoroughly. For a thicker KFC style coating, just press the mixture gently into the chicken so it sticks and gives the same consistency. I cook in my air fryer at 165°C for 18 mins, turning every 6 mins. At the end of the cooking cycle test the chicken with a meat thermometer to make sure it's a minimum of 165°F. If not just cook more in 2 minute increments until reaching the correct temperature and the 'look' you desire from the coating. This turns out perfectly. The air fryer fryer method is surprisingly crispy and the chicken is more succulent than deep fried. A much healthier method, with better results. If you don't have an air fryer use your oven. But be aware that this seems to dry out the chicken more than air frying, due to the longer cooking time needed..... Enjoy this wonderful, great value product, from a great supplier.

Close enough to the real thing!
I’m a KFC addict and have been making my own homemade version for years, always trying to get mine tasting as similar as possible. I heard about this product and thought to give it a try. Using the right cooking technique the chicken comes out tasty very, very similar to the real thing although my only criticism is that it’s very salty. My advice would be to add some extra paprika along with black pepper for both taste and colour but otherwise it’s a great product!

Extremely salty
The flavour is very similar to Dunns River fried chicken powder (which is nice) but is nothing at all like KFC.If you coat the chicken 2 or 3 times (as recommended) you'll end up with a strong flavour but overpowering saltiness. Not quite inedible, but can I imagine some people really struggling. So, not exactly bad if used in moderation but as it doesn't even faintly resemble KFC I won't bother buying it again.

awful product
I have to say i could make a coating that would resemble KFC but, but this tastes of nothing except salt & pepper!I am amazed at the ratings, for the price of the spice, your better of going to KFC and buying bargain bucket it would be cheaper, plus you wont have to use half a litre of oil to fry it in, which is no good for any other use after the Chicken has been fried, I hope this helps!
