PANYTOW for Classic BAOER 388 Stainless Steel Fountain Pen Golden Trim M Nib

I have over a dozen fountain pens, varying in age and price, from vintage Parkers over 50 years old to a £2 plastic manuscript pen that writes like a dream. So I was curious to see what this Baoer 388 would be like, especially having fallen in love with my new Lamy only a few weeks earlier!It arrived in a tiny plastic postal bag, with no bubble wrap or packing, but none was needed...this is a sturdy beast. The lid clips on, and it is heavy. It gives the pen weight. The body is plastic, but almost has the look and feel of Bakerlite! The whole appearance and feel is of a far more expensive pen.I fitted a standard cartridge easily. I'll try the converter it came with later. It wrote almost immediately, after a quick wipe and lick of the nib. The nib itself is beautifully elegant and what I would describe as FINE. And it is an absolute joy to write with. I tend to use fountain pens about 90% of the time, foir drawing as well as writing, and this one really is lovely. If I had tried it blind in a shop, I would have expected a £20+ price tag on it. If you don't spend under £2 on this pen, you really are missing out!!

A spot of elegance - rarely seen since I binned-off fountain pens after leaving school.This has an M nib, great and smooth for this left-hander - I'm thoroughly enjoying it.This pen is excellent value, a great trial - exactly as I'd intended, to see just how I get on.Planning to be able to ask for something more stylish around my birthday.

This fountain pen is remarkable good for the price.. The nib is hardy, and suits any balanced style of hand, including italic.I was amazed to find that it comes with an ink converter, which is marvellous for those of us who like to use varied bottled inks. It looks good, and the cap seals well. All in all, a good bargain. Many thanks.,

I haven't used a fountain pen in a few year so I decided to buy this "PANYTOW Classic BAOER 388" and also a "Helix 219915 Oxford" The Panytow BAOER arrived and was completely useless, after around a sentence of writing the feed would dry up entirely, i tried both the included ink converter system and disposable cartridges and both of them gave me the same issue. The Helix Oxford however worked perfectly with disposable cartridges, I was able to use the converter kit (the twist action ink system that replaces the disposable cartridges).The Helix Oxford is able to fit the ink converter kit from the Panytow BAOER, but I still feel like I completely wasted my money, if you want a good fountain pen buy from a reputable brand.

this is my second one. It writes beautifully, but the syringe on the last one broke and can't be replaced. It doesn't fit any other ink cartages either.

Great quality at a great price

This pen writes really well and looks well too. You should definitely buy this if you're looking for a low budget but high performance fountain pen.The only negative would be that the refill cartridge breaks if you accidently keep turning it while filling it up with ink!
