Great quality, a bit pricey
Great OEM battery. A little on the expensive side, but works perfectly as expected. Some cheaper options available that work pretty much exactly the same in terms of life per charge. If you like to play it safe and stick with OEM batteries you can't go wrong with this.

Genuine Olympus BLH-1 battery. High quality, guaranteed long-term performance.
Genuine Olympus BLH-1 battery at a low price (at the time of purchase), and qualified for Amazon Prime next day delivery.I always find that off-brand "compatible" versions never last anything like as long between charges, even when they claim to hold more charge, and also suffer a marked fall-off in performance very quickly. They also often won't report the battery charge level in the camera viewfinder and often won't work in the genuine camera manufacturer's own charger. So do the math: carry two of these around to guarantee a day's full shooting (although I've yet to need the second battery despite hundreds of shots a day) and know they'll continue to work well for what can be years, or carry around four generic batteries when their performance has fallen after just a few months usage and have to replace them every six to twelve months when their performance has dropped to totally unacceptable levels. Your choice. Personally I find the genuine batteries to be the longer-term cheaper choice, especially when they still command a resale value after the camera itself has worn out or become obsolete.Note also that the original BLH-1 comes in a clear plastic carry case (generics often lack them) which serves two purposes:-1. It protects the battery contacts from shorting out when being carried in a bag or pocket jangling with other batteries to metal items.2. It shows you which batteries are fresh and which need recharging because there is a small window cut-out in the case. The genuine batteries have a small moulded arrow on them which aligns perfectly with the window. I arrange it so that batteries with the arrow showing are fresh and ready to use, and any which don't show the arrow need recharging. See attached photos.I also suggest that if you have more than two batteries (I now have six) that you label each one with a unique identifier. The primary purpose is to allow you to even out the usage of each battery so that they all get used in turn; but I now include a purchase date so I can see how old each battery is and also add my name and contact details in case I lose a battery. Labelling also helps to quickly identify any individual battery which may have a genuine fault or normal longer-term degradation in performance.

Premium battery, premium price
Charges quickly and seems to last longer than the battery for the older cameras. Pricing excessive though. The cheaper alternatives are not fully chipped and may have less power so I decided to stick with the premium Oly battery and grin and bear the price. I can manage with two for most day's shooting - and can charge up the battery on a longer lunch break.

Excellent Battery.
Nothing to say. Works beautifully and totally as expected. Will easily handle a shoot of 200 shots in RAW format and recharges quickly. Haven't timed it exactly but I'd guess a couple of hours for a fun recharge. Expensive, but you get real quality.

Its a batttery
Sadly steep in price is the only big let down. But its an Olympus battery and it does what it sets up to do!

Expensive but worth while in long run
I did consider going for much cheaper 3rd party battery packs, however these don't have the status communication with the camera this "official" Olympus battery has.It is annoying that the camera manufacturers charge a hefty premium hence only 4 stars.

Genuine BLH-1
A small hick up in the delivery, but I accepted the battery anyway. Ome could never have enough batteries.

Does what it says on the tin, but I can hardly comment on the longevity.
So far so good!
