Great Coop if You Just Need a Coop!
If you're handy and looking for a good base to start a coop, this is a great buy. Between my husband and myself we have lots of experience with different projects and woodworking. However, buying all the wood where we live was really expensive, whereas this coop was a decent price. This coop may not last for decades, but it is a great coop for beginners, small yards, renters, etc.First, delivery went well. The first part of the coop arrived far earlier than estimated. The second part of the coop was misplaced in shipping, but the seller was quick to address the issue and was proactive about contacting me each step of the way. The second part arrived the next business day, boxes were in good condition, and all the pieces were there. As for the pieces, some of them are a bit flimsy feeling. They aren't what I would choose if I was building a coop I wanted to have last for years and years. However, they are adequate for the task of keeping birds in and predators in my area out. It also seems like it would be easy enough to upgrade or reinforce any areas you did notice trouble with over time. There were a few pieces of split wood, which is where being a handy person helps. For us, the problems were easy to address with some wood glue, staples, or spare wood we had around. There was 1 spare screw for each of the screw sizes, which is reassuring that you won't come up short on screws during the project. The wire feels pretty sturdy, but I'll be checking it often since I know we have foxes around here. I may upgrade the wire at some point to be safe, but I am confident enough it will hold up long enough for me to notice if something has been trying to bust through. This coop can be assembled by 1 person, but having an extra set of hands does make some tasks easier. The main body and pieces either have pegs to hold them in place while you secure them down or slots to hold them in place. The instructions had a few spots that were a little unclear exactly where the piece was supposed to go, but some trial and error solved those issues. The instructions come with a paper that advises you to seal the coop better. I saw some reviews stating their coops had warped, and I think that was the issue. You need to protect it from rain until it is properly sealed up, though I do think it could easily weather a small storm or hazy day or two if you get caught in it.All the seams fit together well. The doors open and close smoothly. It seems easy to modify, maybe make the run bigger or add compartments to the coop, if you're creative.I've included some pictures of the assembly. The first one shows the worst of the split wood. We glued it together and the piece held nicely. Second one shows the main compartment held together by the pegs before being screwed in. Third shows how you can close the coop door from the outside. If you have big fingers putting that together can be tricky! Last one shows our "tester." Had her sniffing around the wires and doors for a bit, getting used to the smells. She's a bit of a gentle giant but if she didn't knock anything loose or break it I'm sure it'll hold up.

Good delivery service
Good delivery service. Lovely looking product. Good price and size. Fairly easy to assemble. Unfortunately the staples for the wire mesh panel came out fairly soon so I will have to repair it to avoid chickens escaping.

Nice item
It is nice but I wouldnt recommend for 4-6 chickens, 1 or 2 at a push if they are small. Once assembled the inside dimensions are not fantastic

Perfect for bunnies!!
Love this! Our rabbits use the “egg box area” as there litter tray. The large floor area sat on concrete keeps there claws down. We had the smaller version of this last time and decided to upgrade. Easy to clean. Easy to assemble. Great quality.

Great item plus a few top tips from our Chicken Breeder
Great coop but got some good advice from the breeder before we received it as follows.1. This is a good coop/run and would suit 2/3 birds but they will still need to roam outside daily so you will need a secure garden or additional run ideally.2. Buy your red mite dust (diatom) first and treat all the components - particularly the joints and dowel and screw holes before you screw them together as they will be difficult to treat when built.3. Instructions say you must treat with wood preserver within 1 month or before heavy rain for warranty to apply so I suggest treat each part before you build it. It does have a preserver already but as its going outside extra coats are a good idea.4 Instructions say put the coop roof on in step 2 - I would leave it to the end as it makes no difference to the coop roof but makes access to the screws for the run roof more accessible.5. When built and preserver applied smear vaseline on all screw heads to stop red mite ingress down the threads (apparently they can do that!)6. Took about 2hrs to build at a steady paceGood value, good quality bit of kit. Well recommended.

Cheaply made. Disappointed
Expected it to be bigger as purchased one similar 6yrs ago. Quality adequate to last a couple of years max. I bought mine for a rabbit but I have previously kept chickens and my opinion is this is way too small for chickens... perhaps ok for a night lock up with a huge garden/run attached.U will need to screw down the base for the 'nest box' as it pushes up allowing foxes.Do your research and if u can afford it, go with plastic coops for chickens to eliminate red mite.... I've had a greenfrogdesigns coop for 10years and still looks brand new and can jet wash it down. This one.... poorly made, cheap wood, draughty holes, expect it to last a couple of years with adding a waterproofer.

Quickly deteriorates
I have had this coop for a year, for my guinea pigs, the design if fab, it looks great and the piggies have loved the space, having free run of the garden they don't need that much run around space in their hutch. However, it is really starting to deteriorate fast, almost all the parts that lift on hinges have broken now and my husband has had to repair them. The wet gets in, the roof felt is coming away, allowing the water to run down between the felt and the wood, leaving a wet floor and wall. It was an expensive buy and I was not expecting after only a year to be looking for my next buy.
