with there were more 'simple' carols
I wish there are more 'simple' carols that she can play. but hopefully next year at Christmas she'll be able to play the others.

Definitely not beginner
I bought this book for my daughter who is having lessons. Level one is right hand only. Level two is both hands, and it is certainly not beginners level. I class myself as a beginner with a little more experience than my daughter and struggle with the arrangements. The only reason I am keeping the book is because she will eventually be able to play songs.

I liked the idea of 3 levels but it doesn't really work
This book is fine if you are just looking at the level 3 pieces, however I couldn't see much difference between level 2 and level 3.Level 1 is single handed, but includes sharps, flats and a large range of notes. Level 2 I expected to include single note melody and left hand but there are quite a lot of chords. Level 3 is probably grade 2/3 level.

Do not buy for beginners
Total con to title this book for beginners, only the first few pages are more basic, therefore the rest of the book and songs have complex music and information, not suitable for someone only learning. Had bought for my son to try some easy Christmas carols for fun and this is not the book for that! Got my money back on this.

The tunes are American version.
Some of the songs are the American version for example Away in a Manger’s tune. I prefer the English version.
